yes that is true big bucks are involved with these guys.they will never give you all the info.just a example look in the magazines all the diets that are published by different guys are mostly the same.i highly doubt that. everyone is different what works for 1 does not always work for another.thanks though for the explanation.

Hi Dj reading up on this and was wondering if you would help. I will be changing to training in the morning soon. Can I have my normal breakfast 1 hour before I train at around 7:30am will be at the gym by around 8:45am. My breakfast is 8 egg whites 2 yolks 60g oats this is on a low carb day on high carb day it's 100g oats. then after train have post workout drink as normal "whey and waxy maize." Then 1 to 1 & half hour later have my meal two and carry on with all other meals as I would normally throughout the day?

getting big one rep at a time!

DJ wrote: think of it this way, what takes longer to burn? a piece of paper or a log? the paper represents the shake and how the fire is the metabolism digesting the shake, quick, fast and done in a flash, the log is a steak, it takes alot longer to digest making the body use more calories to digest the food. its like fiber being a good fat burning food, the body cannot digest insoluble fiber found in veggies so it takes alot time trying to break it down using calories in the process to break it down...the more calories used the better.

Quick question.... For eg. if you needed to eat 30g of a solid protein an 30g almond nuts to keep your metabolism burning at each meal every 2 hours would it be okay or have the same effect as drinking 10g protein shake an eat 10g almond nuts every 40 min? That way your metabolism will keep working to digest the shake and the nuts all day long.. I'm just asking in a theoretical point of view because I would imagine it would be way to much work to eat this way.

Howzit all

Simple question....

How much protein and carbs should be eaten a day for bulking.

I use a formula I found years ago which seem to work well for me..

Weight in kg's multiplied by 2.2 to get weight in pounds.

Weight in pounds multiplied by 1.5 to get total daily protein intake divided into 6 meals per day.

Weight in pounds multiplied by 2.5 to get total daily carb intake divided into 6 meals per day.

Is this correct or is there a more accurate method?

STATS
HEIGHT:176 CM
WEIGHT:97 Kg
AGE: 33
BODY FAT: 15%
