Just want to revive this thread again. I'm going to be up north of the Jukskei in Pretoria for the next 3 months so I'm particularly interested in any specials going on over there. I'm also starting my cycle in 11 days so I'm going to be eating up a fortune again.

Need lots of food, want to pay as little as possible :P

My cycle cost a bloody fortune :pinch:

Are they frozen at FLM Woodlands? I once bought that Brazilian imported chicken breast shit from Helgas... very cheap and huge but once you start cooking them the whole pan starts filling with water and they shrink to 1/3 of the size.

Yeah love the place! :) Best place for meat is Super Servings. Got some Matured Rump there last weekend for R59/kg. Mainly train at Parkview. But if my spotter can't make it then I will train with other mates at Menlyn. You?

Designer Physique, almost ashamed to mention it. Only trained there cause I had a personal trainer there when I used to make money…
Luckily that contract ended now and I can train at VA for free cause of my Life Insurance so I’m gonna hit VA Menlyn 2KM from me from September, can’t wait.

I was in country side so this factory shop was in Worcester. There is like 1kg bag drumbsticks for R39 and list goes on. Problem is you never know what they have in stock so you need to phone before hand. I will buy my chicken from them now on. I guess Rainbow chicken is country wide?

I'm going to buy as much as I can if they still have that price. Will go to super servings too. Need some steak.

Anyone in CT can buy chicken in Bulk from county fair's factory shop in Goodwood.

I was there last week and picked up 12kg braai pack (packed in the individual five piece packaging) for 15,99kg. Chicken breast (not filleted)21.99kg for a 12kg bag and fillleted breasts for 28.99kg.

PNP in Steenberg village has specials on meat every second saturday of the month. Ostrich and beef mince combo usually @39.99kg and lamb braaipacks (bulk) at 59.99kg.

Hi Guy's

If any 1 stay's in the east rand area there is a place called Mac J's on snake road that sell's cheap chicken ,fish and beef I cant remember all the price's off hand but I know I paid R 270 for 5 kg's of large hake . What's is also nice is they sell all sorts of thing's from pop's for the kid's to pealed prawn's, they really do have every thing . You can also buy your veg there to , I bought already sliced sweet potato for R 19 (1 kg) . When I got home i worked out I must of saved about 40% on my weekly grossly bill compared to buying it from checker's or normal shop's .

There is anther shop in Boksburg across the road from the old Dunswat race track called Dawood where I buy my egg's from it is R 60 for 5 dozen .They also sell other chicken products that match Mac J's price's but they only do chicken.

Hope this safe's you some buck's it help me big time .

Cheer's

The chicken sold at dawood is 25% brine. I use to buy there for years.
As for the eggs i get them at R35 a tray for jumbo eggs from a lady from my gym.
But i will give Mac J's a visit, fining food for a good price is not always easy.

I spoke to the butcher at Towers PnP and after some pleading and negotiating his giving me fresh chicken breast fillets at R36/kg which is the best i could get so far for fresh chicken fillets.

Another thing to do is buy a mincer and make your own very lean mince. The Oakfields PnP have topside roast on early bird specials for R35/40 a kg about once a month.
