Withdraw air in the syringe and pierce the vial. The HCG vial is vacuumed, so let it suck up all the air from the syringe…. But be sure to hold onto it and let the air in slowly. After the vial vacuum has been balanced with air, withdraw water into the syringe and drop the water slowly on the side of the vial.
DO NOT squirt directly onto the hcg powder. You will notice if done correctly, after a few minutes the HCG is perfectly clear. Do not shake the vial, store in the fridge.

Muscleaddict wrote: Aiii, here we go again. This always comes up and it seems this will never be laid to rest. But I reckon it should be addressed since it's been over 5 years since that original post. Both HCG and Ovidrel are consist of an alpha sub unit (89 amino acids) and a beta sub unit (148 amino acids). The alpha sub unit of both hcg and ovidrel is the portion responsible for hormonal activity that mimics LH/FSH/TSH activity and is identical to the alpha sub unit of LH, FSH and TSH. Pregnyl does not consist basically of the Beta sub-unit as was stated here 5 years ago which is confusing everyone. Read here on the FDA's site, direct from Organon, Pregnyl's manufacturer.
Ovidrel is called rHCG (r=Recombinant). Recombinant DNA technology is the process in the lab that is used to join together DNA segments. In this case with Ovidrel human genes are cloned into a hamster ovary cells to produce HCG. Ovidrel is more stable after reconstitution than Pregnyl but that doesn't make it more effective, just that it lasts longer once mixed with the bacteriostatic water. When pregnyl is extracted from urine there is a trace amount of other metabolites that effect shelf live. That is a major benefit over pregnyl, but it is the only tangible benefit.
There is zero evidence that ovidrel boosts FSH more than pregnyl. There is zero evidence that ovidrel boosts TSH more than pregnyl. There is zero evidence that ovidrel boosts LH more than pregnyl. Why? Because both of their alpha sub-units are identical to those of LH, TSH, FSH.
Yes they have a very mild thyrotropic effect (effect on the thyroid) but it is insignificant. About 1/100 of that of TSH. Dr. Scally and another doctor addressed this on another forum and Scally posted a study showing that for HCG to cause hyperthyroidism one would need HCG levels in the blood of over 200 IU/ml that are sustained for several weeks. That is 200,000 IU/L. Now to put that into perspective the maximum serum concentration of Ovidrel if you inject the entire 250mcg/6500IU is around 121 IU/L.
So, 200,000 IU/L vs 121 IU/L. See what I mean.
If you go onto Dr Crisler's HRT forum (allthingsmale.com) you'll see that there they also say ovidrel and regular HCG do the same thing. Let's put this to bed now please.
