CYCLE WHILST ALREADY ON HRT? was created by Ondernemer
Hi Guys
‘Old Timer’ here… 58, been gymming for over 30 years – reasonable build, fit for my age. 1.78 @ 97kgs, 95cm waist. Did 3 cycles in my 30’s with no real bad side-effects, gained a lot of muscle.
I have a question. I want to use a very mild stack just to get the strength up and loose fat around the middle. My BF is about 16%, and I am on DepoTest as a HRT (20- 30mg every 14 days). My diet is fine, although I will include more protein between my 3 meals per day.
I have looked at the Anavar & Proviron cycle, and it seems that will reach my goals nicely. Nothing hectic but should I stop using my DepoTest, or should I increase it?
A next question: My PCT will be the Clomid / Nolvadex over 37 days... but with the DepoTest, is PCT necessary? My natural test is very low as is, so the chances of my body getting back to ‘normal’ are quite slim. My Urologist is quite happy with my test use, so no problems down below.
Your informed advice would be greatly appreciated.
Pete

Hi there...

Ok, well with HRT there is no need for a PCT. As all testosterone is exogenous for you.

Losing belly fat can only be achieved with some smart dieting.

Before even considering a cycle we need to establish any other health issues you may have. Any heart conditions? Hypertension? Any chronic medications? If so what, and for what purpose?

There are some extremely knowledgeable vets on this forum and I'm sure once a clearer picture is painted, you will be appropriately advised.

When it hurts... That's when i start counting, because that's when it starts to count.

Thank you for the feedback. Heart condition - no problem, Heart is absolutely perfect - had an angiogram 5 months ago. Yes, hypertention, under control with meds - and I check it often. Familial problem, so I will be careful. Cholesterol below 3, so all is well there.

Belly has shrunk considerably since I started with the HRT - I was diagnosed as being 'pre-diabetic', and DepoTest prescribed.
Diet is fine - I have a diabetic wife, but - and here comes the controversial stuff - we have been Banting for 4 months. Seems like I cannot get that very lean look that I so desperately want. I have cut out most carbs, except for some muesli in the morning. yes we cheat now and then - at the most once a week, with a bun/ slice of bread. My sugar cravings are under control, I may have one sugary drink per week, sometimes none.

High protein - and not really high fat. We just stopped worrying about that little added fat in the chicken skin/ on the beef roast. (as I type, I realise I may have to go 'all the way' with cutting out all fats as well...)

Cardio happens 2/3 times a week for 30 minutes - treadmill/ stationery bike/ eliptical machine. I get bored very quickly! Maybe I have all the answers - but i needed the question to be answered about PCT - and that you have done.

Go well

Pete

Thanks for the detail...

Diet:
I will admit I have not done much research into Banting, however as far as I understand it is similar to keto. So no issue there... Fats really aren't the enemy so don't go cut them out completely just yet...

Hypertension :
Hypertension is a concern as a cycle may well accentuate it. However if you feel you have it under control and monitor it closely, I personally see no issue with you running a cycle.

Training :
Cardio seems sufficient to me... I would be interested in seeing your resistance reigme. ( 30 years experience... I'm sure I can learn a thing or two)

As far as your cycle itself is concerned..
I would dramatically increase the testosterone dosage along side your proposed orals...

Remember that you will need liver support while on the orals, I enjoy liv52.

I hope that clears up any other questions you may have had... Shout if you need anything else.

When it hurts... That's when i start counting, because that's when it starts to count.

I had a heart attack and had a bypass due to a congenital problem - had an external growth on the anterior ventricular artery. cardiologist wrote in her report : never seen anything like it - totally strange, a heart attack waiting to happen... Had the bypass, and the subsequent angiogram and cardiograms showed very little heart damage - and all is well after 5 months.

Has a Doctor put you on Hormonal replacement therapy.....? You are at high risk if on androgen replacement therapy and having an myocardial infarction is highly likely.

you should not be taking any AAS...

Yes. My cardiologist knows i am on HRT, as does my urologist. As I said, my MI was caused by a congenital external growth that constricted an artery. No plaque, no heart disease, and very little cardiac damage. Things were caught in time. I am not on any 'heart medication'at all.

If you can afford it go on HGH. That will get you super lean if your diet is good. Considering your condition I can't recommend any steroids other than increasing your HRT dose to 300mg for a burst along with HGH at 3 to 4IU a day.

Stay away from all oral AAS,patches or oral test....educate yourself on how oral AAS are converted once ingested.

You have not answered the question in terms of if a Doctor has prescribed your HRT.It would be advisable if your cardiologist manages your HRT.......HRT is not illegal if a medical practitioner manages you and is well informed about your medical history.

Research Nebido, it is available in SA. please note.....it can only be administered by Doctor.

Good luck

Think Muscleaddict gave you some solid advice there...

The risks Ontong has pointed out are valid, so be cautious... Don't sacrifice your long term health for a little belly fat.

I agree that's a good way to go since its a bit risky to run full on cycles with that history. If you can get real HGH I'd go 2iu/day with GHRP + Mod GRF(1-29) at 100mcg 3x/day.

Besides the above, if I was to try enhance myself without going above 300mg of testosterone I'd also consider Injectable l-carnitine (fatloss, endurance), MGF (localised growth) and GW-501516 (endurance). And the other one no likes to mention :) also throwing in the anabolic amino Leucine and some Creatine HCL won't hurt.
