Bad mood was created by Marcel83
Hi all,

Last few weeks I have been a sour puss.
Generally grumpy about most things and I strip my moer for anything.

Im almost done with a 12 week cycle of NPP and Test E.

Done some reading on it, and it suggests that ny seratonin levels can be out of whack.

Do some of you experience this, what do you do about this....

Or is it one of the sidies that just comes with the territory?

Honestly, not to brown nose or demand his post, but I regard 00pump an expert on mood and mood hormones.

Personal educated opinion is it might not be serotonin. Serotonin is a "feel good" hormone, so you are more likely to be feeling sad (for lack of a better word). For a long time some years back I thought Albuterol and Clen made me withdrawn and sour, it was more likely my natural test that was zero. The common notion is that test brings out some mood inclinations in your personality (thus how roid-rage become a common albeit bullshit term). I'm not saying it is not a *direct* dip in serotonin, but imagine how you acted before, and in vision that in your dealings with people.

Hope my psch- advise wasn't too hippy, I know you were looking for a chem- related response.

PS: I hate the term "sour puss", I'd get annoyed by someone just accusing me of that. :p

Nice post...

If you in the start of your cycle and you struggle to control your irritability or short fuse I would then have said maybe look at a mood stabilizer, something like epilim, it just helps take the edge off, however now that you at the end of your cycle, wait for your androgen levels to drop and you will feel much better.

If you like to improve your mood, cognitive function, you could try some nootropics... I find *racetams to make a massive difference in my life.. depression, moods, anxiety, concentration....

And what nootropics are we talking about as I beg to differ. Majority of them through stimulation of the CNS promote irratability.

Mood =/= Cognitive function. If you feel "happy" or suffered from less anxiety, it's probably because you can do more work/achieve more because you're thinking better and smarter. Because you feel proud of yourself, you might no longer see yourself as a lazy bag of potatoes. That's the only way I can reason Nootropics can benefit mood; indirectly. So I can see how you benefit from it, but I think that's a personal anecdote about how your concentration add cognition effects mood.

Yes, this however is related to high amounts of androgens.. Add any form of 'stimulation' towards your CNS and you land up more irratible. If the mood was related towards being 'low' / 'depressed' then that is a completely different conversation.

Its a decent compound, but can cause irratability and restlessness if used at to higher dose.

Quite a few studies have shown how nandrolone causes temporary changes in our brain's gratification or reward systems (dopamine and serotonin) which can affect your motivation and sense of purpose. I definitely find that with deca and npp more so than with other steroids. I get much more moody on deca than anything else. Even on tren and superdrol I might be irritable but it's nothing like I feel after being on deca for a while.

Not just serotonin we have three main happy hormones. :) the culprit could be any one of them. See which one describes you best:
Serotonin: Makes you feel good about life in general.
Dopamine: This is the main reward centre. If you feel like nothing gives you pleasure then this is it. Also Nandrolone has the most affinity for this hormone.
Norepinephrine: Both of the above but milder.

im not promoting the use of recreational drugs, although it probably isn't a wise decision to combine recreational drugs while on anabolic steroids, I'm not saying this will work or not but personally for me I find that if I make a herbal tea containing small amounts of marijuana and drink twice a week helps me keep calm and my mind straight

And marijuana is the number one drug in treatment facilities that causes psychosis, regardless how 'innocent' people think it is.

Is there a difference between if one smokes it and injests it? does the thc have a role to play with the psychosis, cos when made into a herbal tea there isn't much thc release

I should rephrase my statement, it's the 'which one comes first' the chicken or the egg, yes cannabis can cause a drug induced state of psychosis but it can also trigger the first induced state of schizophrenia. There is evidence linked to people with mental health issues and the use of weed. So from a factual point of view I can't scientifically say this is written in stone but I've seen enough cases to make my own judgement. But to answer your question about the thc, yes the higher the level the more effects it has on the one side, sedation, memory, etc and on the other paranoia irratability and so forth. Just so you know I'm not against its use, just not something I'd advise anyone incase there is a history of mental illness in the family and this may become a trigger. So back to the chicken and egg analogy, the two have been seen to be linked but I can't give you a factual answer.

I retracted that statement as I can't give you scientific evidence, but I'll tell you in private shortly as this stuff talk shouldn't be discussed on here.

Since many people use it therapeutically I will also comment. It's a fine line. There is no evidence from recent studies suggesting that cannabis causes schizophrenia or mental illness. It can obviously cause temporary pyschosis in anyone who use too much of it. But I agree pump and literature makes it pretty clear that people who are prone to bipolar disorder, schizophrenia and other psychological disorders can have these conditions worsened or triggered prematurely if they use cannabis or other psychoactive drugs. Pretty much all research boffs in the field agree with that.

The problem is you don't know if you are predisposed to it. If you aren't then you don't have much to worry about except munchies and feeling lazy.

If you eat it then it is actually more potent. The THC is metabolised to a more powerful psychoactive form of THC.

No problem bud I ask because it interests me and to gain more insight. In order to find the truth one must study all aspects, not just what appeals to you.

I thought one would need to heat it up to a fare heat in order for the thc to be released and then it needs to bind to a fat in order for one to injest it to get the most out of the thc
