First Cycle - Need Some SubQ Advice was created by Wreklaw
Good evening everyone.
I have spent countless hours online that eventually led me to just joining this forum and getting some help.

Age: 37
Height: 176cm
Weight: 102Kgs
BF: Estimated at about 18%

I've been training for about 8 years on and off and have reached a point where I need to satisfy my curiosity about PEDs.

I've done a lot of reading regarding the more talked about recent SubQ injecting trend, which is something that seems more appealing to me than intramuscular injections. Is there anyone here with experience than can assist me around the topic of more frequent smaller doses right in the belly fat?

I'd personally want to start in the 400mg a week range on Test only to see what its effects on me would be, what kind of estrogen conversion I'm dealing with, and if needing an AI is something I would even have to deal with that those doses.

Sub-q is good.

Thigh, stomach (excluding the radius 5-10cm from the navel), top right of the ass.
I would not use more than 1ml/1cc at a time.

Some guys get lumps etc.
If you are using pharma grade very unlikely but it can happen so keep an eye on it.
I pin with 0.5" but probably better to use 5/8".

400mg - some need, some don't.
Symptomatology + blood tests will tell you if you need an AI.

Wreklaw, start with a lower dose 200mg to 250mg is more than enough to grow and to see how your body will covert test to estrogen. Your bodyfat is high so you will convert more to estrogen. Why not try lose bf first and get your diet dialed in? Personally you should check your bodyfat properly using calipers. An estimated number is rubbish. Work on facts

Thanks. Can you give me some advice on the needle gauge for drawing and injecting SubQ in belly fat?
I wouldn't know where to begin looking for pharma grade (unless someone wants to point a finger in the right direction). I don't have prescriptions for it.

To be totally honest with you, I'm not sure I can wait anymore and since the PED thing got into my head, I', kinda half-assing. I'm 37. I've paid my dues. I'm naturally bold. I've had my kid. It's time and it's probably now or never if that makes sense. If I wait for the perfect "time" in my life, I'm just going to end up waiting forever.

Wreklaw if you must start with a lower dose like I said earlier. 27 Gauge is good for SubQ. Good luck

Agree with 27g. Draw with 18 or a bit higher.
But we are getting ahead of ourselves.

Get bloods done before, and honestly, you should be supervised by a doctor.
I suggest getting bloodwork done first and posting here before starting anything.
Ideally, find a doc that is willing to work with you using anabolics.

A GP sometimes is worth it, otherwise a urologist/endocrinologist is the best bet.
Unfortunately it is hit or miss.

How is your diet etc?
Any symptoms of hormonal issues?

Thanks NOS.

With regards to this study I'm happy to start at as low a dose as possible:

pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/11701431/

250/300 sounds good considering that I'd have to double that dose for not much in return.

I'd be happy to the blood work as I'm curious where I'm at naturally.
My diet isn't really an issue and I don't know of any health-related issues. My hair thinning is heriditory. Never really sick. Never have problems with anything. Health and diet-wise I think I'm good to go. I'll definitely clean it up a bit on a cycle as I think I'd find some new motivation in it psychologically knowing I'm on something.

I'd also be happy to walk into a GP's office and say: "Listen man, I've been taking PED's for a few weeks, how's about just checking me out."

Regarding bloods, would you please advise on the bare minimum I need to go and get checked out? I'd be happy to post here first before I do anything for you guys to chime in and would appreciate you helping out with feedback.

I think it's a good place to start.

oh man, Bare minimum?
TSH
FSH
LH
Total T
SHBG
Free T
Sensitive E2

I would probably add hematocrit, haemoglobin.
If you drink or don't know the state of liver: ALT + AST.

I am not a doc, so a doc would probably order more tests.
If you'd like to get an idea yourself before even going to a doc, I would think the ones I posted would be enough to see any problems etc from a hormonal POV.

Been doing this for a while now
I use the insulin pins for drawing and injecting. They so thin and sharp that you dont have to swap the needle out.
Drawing takes a bit long but nothing serious.

Inject into love handles and stomach fat and occasionally into upper glute fat.
Very rarely get lumps but if I do they go away in a day or so

I inject daily or sometimes eod and it is small amounts. I reckon anything over 0.3 of a ml in the stomach or love handles would start lumping badly (just an opinion havent actually tested)

At moment I am cruising on around 0.14ml every 2 days

in my honest opinion, I think that the bare minimum for blood is this

TSH +t3 + t4 only doing tsh doesn't tell you if the conversion of t4 to t3 is good, only that your thyroid is under strain
FSH,LH,Total T,SHBG,Free T,Sensitive E2
HB1Ac and fasting insulin gotta check your 3 monthly blood sugar and if insulin is elevated
fasting LIPOGRAM gotta see where your cholesterol is at
FULL BLOOD COUNT will show you if you have high RBC and hematocrit etc
Iron profile

remember steroids affect more things than we know, and I just found out that having HIGH blood glucose for long periods of time is going to fuck with your test levels. Getting your insulin levels down can raise test levels. Rather FULL BLOOD work than bare bones and have no idea what is going on under the hood.

Sure then he must do this through a primary care physician.
My suggestion was if he wants to check himself before consulting a doc without paying R5k+, because if you go to a doc and they want to redo it all, you will pay the same and then some.

Thanks, I have read of others just using insulin pins and this seems like the easiest way to go. I don't mind having to do a SubQ pin every day. With the slow absorption rate in the fat, this seems the more logical way for me to go personally.

Any idea what this test costs roughly?
I'm honestly okay with just getting basics covered. It's not like I'm going overboard on any doses here. I have no plans for a stage or trying to get the body of a Greek God. I want to dabble and I'd like to do so without breaking the bank if I can. I understand the risks, but I'd like to try and keep this as simple as possible.

I would estimate R6k-R8k (it obviously depends) for comprehensive blood work that will need to be interpreted by a doc.

I would def do CAC score (this is a scan), what Empire mentioned, CRP (high sensitive), Doc might also check PSA.

That is why I recommended you doing just basic hormones, R1k-R2k in my experience to see if that is a direction that could be a problem, not to say it is trivial but there are less moving parts.

I really think the rest needs to be interpreted by a doctor, and it would be shitty going to your GP with the results and him sending you to redo it or something like that.

Edit:
also to add, if you are really 18%, that is a solid fucking base you have. Is it possible you are higher bf%? I ask that without judgement lol

An FFMI of 27 is no joke. Either way good job sounds like you have paid your dues unless you are 30% bf

I'm guessing 18%.
I took 2 years off training after my daughter was born and when I came back I blew up after three months. I picked up 10kg's really really fast and really the only thing I can attribute it to is Myonuclei after researching the subject of muscle memory. I've never been out of a gym for that long, but I also never bounced back that fast.

This is the best image that I have of my current state. Hovering at 100.5 to 102kg's

IMO I'm in better shape than most were when they first try PED's. I know we're all different but I'm happy to try a small dose. There's no way I can afford to pay 8K for tests. This is a hobby.

My fat mainly sits in my love handles.

Read the rules bud.

Yep at least blur the face I think

I understand, those tests etc would be a good indication of general health not just to use gear etc.
It is possible you can get away with less, but that can only be determined by a doc.

You do look like you are holding good mass

I'll swing by Pathcare or whatever the other lab was here in my area and go with the bare-bones test you recommended and post results here once I get them. I'd appreciate more help from there.

If you don't mind, wont you also let us know what this test set you back. I'm basically in the exact same situation. I want to get tests done prior to my next cycle but 8k+ is just way out for me.

Lancet always reply to my emails with estimated costs.
Otherwise head over to here: www.pathcare.co.za/fee-lookup-2/
Variance in price is not massive from lab to lab (at least in my experience)

Look I was just estimating R8k for full metabolic, hematologic, hormonal etc.
I think those tests are important the older one is.
As in, a doc would likely prefer to have those tests done if they're aware you will be using AAS and for general health status.

That's super helpful. So I popped into Dischem and picked up some slin pins and 27G 0.5" needles.
Got home and stuck a 27G in the love handle for shits.... and can positively say this is more my speed. So thanks for tops advice. I got no issue doing that every day if I have to.

I'll give the slins a go as well, but don't think I have to.

Regarding the bloods... please treat my knowlegde as nonexistant at this point, but I will learn and read up.

TSH:
There's a few options on the Lancet checklist. Which one am I looking for:

TSH + T4
TSH
TSH (Cord Blood)
TSH Receptor Ab

FSH - R 194.60

LH - R 194.60

Total T - R 194.60

SHGB - R 194.60

E2 - R 194.60

Ideally probably TSH, T4, T3, free-T3.
If TSH and free T3 look good?
I can't see an issue maybe other members can chime in.

100% add in Free Testosterone.

Bodycomp is better than I expected Wreklaw. Do the necessary bloods and bf check before you start your Test. Keep us updated with your progress. Good luck
