I am contemplating going on TRT (48j), I have done some homework, and yes I do know that I should monitor my test levels and prostate.

It seems that either Test Cypionate or Enanthate 200-300mg per 14 days will do the job...any comments or suggestions.

What about using HCG to keep my natural juices flowing?

Can I still do my 2-3 cycles per year by just adding aas?

What about PCT? My guess is that I won’t need it if I choose this route

Will I have to do it for the rest of my life? (File Removed)

I agree fully with DJ. I've always been of the opinion that HRT must be managed by a doctor as it is a treatment medical condition. Remember the guys on this forum are "recreational" aas users and are not qualified to make a medical diagnosis. You need to remember that there's a lot more to HRT than just increasing test level, you're lipids needs to monitored, your heart and liver needs to be checked regularly as you're getting close to 50 you are at a increased risk for the things I mentioned.

The problem is that in SA you need your test levels to be almost zero before you can get help. Why is that? Why can our test levels be in the upper quad of the scale?

My Dad just went through this whole TRT deal. Took a more than a year of my dad taking the Dr info etc before he accepted it.
If you enjoy a beer or 2, your levels are even lower.

Heinz isnt trying to be Mr O, so there is no need for him to have single digit BF%.

TRT Doses are usually set at +- 125mg TestEn/Week with slight adjustments as needed. HCG at 250iu for the last 2 days prior to administering your weekly shot.

You can read more at www.allthingsmale.com or at forums.steroid.com/forumdisplay.php?s=ce...e6e332b68c2d8b3&f=72

Good luck. Keep coming here - i'm heading in that direction myself. Couple more years.

HRT should be approved and monitored by a doc. This is a serious step and if your hormone levels are just under average and not on the low scale there might be other ways to boost your test. There will be no hcg in your HRT forget it. The point is to completely rely on gear for your tests production. See a Doc then see a hormone specialist before starting to self medicate

Tiny u r a friendly guy, I am not in competition with you or anybody else. Fortunately I believe I have a balanced lifestyle and my whole world does not revolve around bodybuilding.

That said, thanks to the other positive input and like every thing I pursue I usually do substantial homework.

Thanks that is the kind of advise I am looking 4. But it still does not answer the question should I end up doing TRT, how will it influence the test I should take on cycle. Common knowledge says I will still have to increase the test as per my chosen cycle, but like everything els I know it is not going to be that simple.

Well if you decide to do HRT (like i said this should be a decision that doc should be involved in) you will have a small amount of test e o cyp injected every 2 weeks i think or something similar to that. Right, when you do decide to do a cycle you will be adding other substances etc and oincreasing dosages ofcourse. Now if you are on HRT that means your natural test is just not there and remember that hrt is a life time thing. So i reckon you wont be doing PCTs like someone with a full functioning HPTA. I might be wrong here but this is what makes most sense to me. You will still need your AI or SERM cause of estrogen side effects but as for HCG i dont think you will be using it. SImply becasue your test lvl cant get back to normal.

My doc is old school, but I will find a specialist in this area.
And yes, the way I see it is that its either cyponate or enanthate 200-300mg /14 days.

What I dont understand is why will hcg help on or at the end of cycle but not on TST? sorry not the sharpest pencil

@Heinz

You are NOT going to get any credible advice pertaining to yourself on an internet forum about HRT.Each case is individual, and that includes dosages. You also cant wake up 1 day and decide you need HRT,you need to get a hormone test done and your Testosterone levels checked, which is measured in nanograms/decilitre.Only a qualified hormone specialist(Endocrinologist) can do a proper assessment of your case and prescribe treatment, which will last till the day you die.Anyone else is just guessing.

And about your current shape, its highly debatable wether its good or not,but hey,if you are happy, why not.

@Lesa
I dont need to insult people to feel good about myself,i have steroids for that.

Because HCG is used to stimulate your HPTA and your testies back into production again after supression by AAS. IF your test levels are very low and you have seen a SPECIALIST not a GP and you tried all possible ways of correcting this and you found that there is no solution to your problem then you go on HRT. this will even further supress your HPTA to complete shutdown. So why would you use HCG now after a cycle? Its not like you can boost your natural test levels back into the game. HCG just wouldnt play any role there anymore.

@tiny Something is very wrong if you need gear to make yourself feel good. See a head doc. Its like saying you need drugs to feel good about yourself. This is called addiction bro.

WOW, it seems I have opened a can of worms. As TRT is a much talked about subject al over the world and I am gatvol for "I'm a first time user " or "what PCT should I do" maybe we should run with the subject and leave the personal attacks out.

As I see it some of these Jokers started taking juice in their early 20's, they should save this posts as I am sure they will need it in the future, and I will put my money on it.

I agree 100% with Lesa that Heinz really actually looks good for 48. My only suggestion is to do every test under the sun to see if you really need it. I'm very cautious when it comes to age and AAS as you body doesn't have the regenerative powers it used to have.

Heinz as a side note, just take the posts that try and help seriously as some dudes are all juiced up and they think they can talk to anybody in any way they want until they get there ass beaten.

Hey Heinz,
I've always thought that the Mens Health Forum on MesoRX was one of the best sources for advice on TRT. You don' have to join but I would do a lot of searching on that paticular subsection of that board. Swale is supposed to be one of the best in the field.

I agree with everyone though that if it aint broke don't fix it. Attempt TRT only if you know your test aint what it used to be. Get all the blood work, and get a doctor to work with you every step of the way. It doesn't matter if your doc is overseas, you can communicate over the net and labs here can do your bloodwork etc...

On the topic of HCG, there is a form of TRT that uses HCG only or HCG and test. Guys may use 100iu of HCG a day and possibly some androgel (or something simillar). You can stilll cycle on TRT with increased dosages as you suggested.

But please stay on the forum and lets help to educate each other. TRT is not a topiccommonly debated here as most members are to young to consider it, but it may become a very real possibility for most of us depending how our body will react to all the years of abuse in later life :(

P.S. When 48 I also hope I can enjoy a beer slightly more regularly and still have great biceps. Power to ja :) Besides, I'm sure you could drop the Bf easily if you put your mind to it. Live life bro!

Sorry if I offend you
Its just my point of view

Now this thread is going where I intended

Some notes:

Test Deficiency Indicators

1: Reductions in nocturnal erections
2: Degree of penile rigidity during erection
3: Frequency of sexual thoughts, feelings of desire and sexual fantasies
4: Alteration in body composition
5: Increases in body fat (seems that 1 I have covered)
6: Spinal bone density is decreased
7: Hip fractures are more common

Advantages of TRT (if needed)

1: Increasing bone density
2: Enhanching body composition
3: Improving energy and mood
4: Maintaining or restoring sexual characteristics, libido and erectile function

I also believe if it's not broke don’t fix it but if it's broke sort it out as we have the technology to do so. How many men talk about there hemorrhoids? I believe the same here. It is a know fact that your normal test starts dipping at 30 so I believe that most men will need TRT at some stage even if it's at 110 and it's also fact that each cycle you do takes it's toll, so I believe in this lifestyle of ours it is a reality

We probably all will

But why not get some cheap blood work to see where you are? You've cycled alot in the past I take it, and maybe other factors are to blame for your lowered libido and mood etc...
When was your last cycle, what was it, and what was PCT.

Maybe you have abnormal prolactin levels or poor test/E2 ratios, etc.. By isolating the problem that's causing you to be down you can better find the therapy you need. You might find that you just need a good extended PCT (recovery aint what it used to be when you get to 48) or you might find that treatment with A-dex or HCG alone is enough to sort you out.
Either way I feel TRT is a highly personalised therapy as everybodies levels decline differently and ratios change in a person specific manner, so getting blood work is by far step 1.

Sorry if I offend you
Its just my point of view

This idea is as old as the first post, so yes I will have blood done but on pct so need some time.

And no I have only been training 3 years(with a trainer) and done 3 cycles, but the advantages of higer test has got me thinking as I presume a lot of other users
