protein was created by donkiekong
Hay guys

I have been working out all my calories and macros from a website called my fitness pal

But I never get a direct reading about the macros and calories about protein , its been a struggle honestly

I have read in the magazine muscle evolution that 100g chicken breast has 30g protein , and the again on my fitness pal a 100g chicken breast has 23g protein so this really confuses me and I'm not sure hom to correctly detail my diet of I can't find correct information on protein

100g chicken breast = 21-23g Protein

That pic makes me ravenous! :S Two things to be careful of:
1) Fish varies greatly depending on type of fish. E.g Salmon vs Hake vs Sardines vs Snapper.
2) Protein from nuts is a broken source of protein as it does not contain all of the 19 Aminos.

P.S That steak looks old and needs marbling! Siiiiiiiiis!

Difference could be cooked vs raw weight? 100g cooked chicken is around 30g protein unless I'm mistaken

For steak: 100g = about 230 calories and 30g protein

So you say 100g cooked chicken breast = 30g protein - 200 calories

100g cooked steak = 30g protein - 230 calories

Oky so in calculating it like this then

2cals per g of chicken breast
2cals x 100g = 200 calories

0.3g/p per g of chicken
0.3g/p x 100g = 30g protein

How correct does this method look

Agree, but I must admit. I do not count calories at all at the moment. Yesterday I ate a shit load of food and today I'll tone it down a bit. Try and just listen to my body and calculate (by feel haha) how much I should eat in relation to how much I have burned.

Been working so far for me.

Hahaha jis bud I feel to guilty to do something like that haha I as very strict for some reason

But hay if this working for you why stop " if its not broken why fix it "

But I'm sure somewhere in the future that accurate calculations could come in handy for all of us

DK just use my fitness pal. Is more than accurate enough...
Specify raw or cooked weight, play around with it and you will see its as close as it will come.

You're seriously overthinking this :pinch:

What is it that you say?
Don't fix what isn't broken?

When it hurts... That's when i start counting, because that's when it starts to count.

If I told you to use 600mg Test-En for your first cycle and your pro BB friend suggests 1000mg, would you split it down the middle and use 800mg?

You are under eating if you use 25g. Try and see the point I am making bud.

Kong you remind me of gorila. Is gorila still around?

He was always over thinking everything like you. Pyro is pretty clued up on food. I would heed his advice.
