Whats the appropriate meals to have on the day of a show? I know you would carb up but should the types of meals be the same as what you ate during your prep? in some cases, guys have added in food on the day of the show that they never had during their prep and as a result their body didn't react well to it, sometimes taking away the hardness.

its all up to what your coach chooses, i like to use oats, sweet potato, potato, jelly babies honey... taking away their hardness means they have over eaten completely, not cut enough water and are not lean enough...ask romp3l about the carb ups i had him do,he was the best he has ever been by his own admission!

This is where months of dieting cam be thrown away if not done correctly. Timing of all the element in the last week of a show is key.

I think this is one of the most difficult questions to answer on a forum because on the last days before a show you have to evaluate yourself on probably an hourly basis to establish what the body needs.

Thanks guys

In my opinion, I feel that one shouldn't start changing too much on the day or week before the show because everyones body is different. For example, with regards to the the meal that DJ mentioned is awesome but oats tend to give me that bloated look so I would leave out that type of carb on the morning of the show. But I do notice that my body reacts well to brown rice. But again, it all depends on the individual

u need to practice all this sort've thing weekly,i have started doing this with koe007 and his cheat meals once a week,we can see how he reacts to certain types of carbs etc... i have a pretty good system and the guys seem to be able to have guys eat a nice fat carb rich meal the night before the show and fill out very nicely for the morning of the show

DJ helped me out so much man. Thanks alot bro again and again and again.

This is me at a provincial show august 2010...the better one (clear to see) is after DJ jumped in at 8 weeks out this april.

Thanks again man. I was harder a week out before the show 2011 than i was the day of the show after dropping water 2010..

Regards

i wouldnt do that to be honest, the only water u should have show day is about 200-300mls of water to sip down proviron and winstrol tabs...if your water dropping protocol is right and you use a eca stack in the last week that should make things fine, also you can use other things as natural diuretics such as dandelion root etc and maybe a diuretic the last 2 days before just to expel any excess water...

I also heard Ronnie say this that he did it whilst on tour to Europe, had to compete in 7 shows in 11 days. Lost all except the last because Kevin Levrone won all, when he asked Kevin what it was he poured him some vodka and coffee.
Is this true?
