exactly why carb ups are so important in a CKD.

Physiologically this might be explained by the fact that eating low GI carbs cause a steady level of blood sugar levels without any crashes in blood sugar one could expect after eating refined carbohydrates or too much saturated fat (surprisingly). Sugar crashes stimulate hormones responsible for increasing blood sugar such as cortisol and glucagon. Cortisol then inhibits testosterone production.

This may or may not be correct but that's how it makes sense to me.

i would love to see the study.

pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/6179613/ - Wrote my case report in urology on Dietary changes men suffering from prostate cancer and outcomes. Don't have full access to the article now because I'm no longer with the University but the Abstract kind of touches on it.

The 'western diet' they mention isn't the typical one we know now as one consisting of fast food back then it was any diet in which animal product consumption was high.

for some reason, I think you need to give us a whole bunch more of your stats and more insight into your diet. a complete breakdown of calories and macros, also the volume that you are training etc.

I'm always down for free stuff, especially training advice. I'll create a thread once gyms open about myself and let people critique my training, diet etc.

I must first say I appreciate everything, the advice and support and effort to help someone you know nothing about. It means a lot, and when you're down in the dumps even strangers are found in weird places such as the Internet who try to help keep you going.

I should have kept this updated, but with the slump I was in I kept my head down and just powered through and did what was necessary to get from one day to the next.

It was a long and difficult road, and I am happy to report we're expecting our second. It feels like I can ride this wave forever, it is both exciting and terrifying.

Evidence points to a strong possibility the problem was on my side. Although all the semen parameters that we've been testing were fine, there is a thing called anti semen antibodies, which in my case is quite high. According to some literature above 40% iGa and iGg renders one effectively infertile, although it seems there is some debate about this.

We opted for some medical intervention and were succesful with the first attempt.

Thanks again to everyone, and especially Empire.
