Hey guys

I've always liked the idea of telemedicine and feel like it is something SA patients really have no access to within the country.

I thought this community would offer a nice group of people that would really make the most of basic operations.

Finding docs, ranking them, and allowing access to any man or woman looking for an endo that understands hormone therapies and managing treatment.

I was pretty f*cking shocked to hear multiple guys in here going to some swindler doc using underground gear...

I'd like to hear what guys that rely on endos would think about this?

If you are happy with your current endo, how much easier would it be for you to just skype your doc?

And for those that have no idea where to find a doc, would you prefer to use an online platform where you can find reviewed docs by men/women that were in a similar situation to you?

imo telemedicine is a great step forward in many medical interactions.

Telemedicine is probably going to become more common due to the lockdown, but unlikely to take the country by storm since the technical knowhow and infrastructure is still out of reach for the vast majority of South Africans.

Suggesting docs and ranking them on this site is completely out of the question, not going to happen for the following reasons:
1: Docs will not appreciate their details being displayed on a website with the subject matter we discuss.
2: Allowing the ranking of doctors will open legal action against the site.
3: It will be abused. You can hardly ask for an honest brand recommendation.
4: One of the core principles of the website is to maintain member anonymity and that will be jeopardised once reviews or recommendations are allowed.

Absolutely, I meant a separate infrastructure that allowed for it. I just figured endos would be a good platform to start with. Of course it would be cool to have members here recommend etc but I meant as a completely separate space for any medical professionals to offer care to patients.

I just thought guys on here would be able to offer insight into issues that can arise.

I think a solid platform would encourage doctors to start offering it. It is a pity we miss out on that market.
