Bloodwork before considering TRT or cycle was created by klip_vreter
Hi all,

Been a lurker for a while, awesome to have an SA community. I've been enjoying going through the posts, thanks!

I'm considering a test only cycle or even just TRT depending on my blood results. Once I have those I'll worry about how I proceed, if at all.

I however want to get everything covered and it would be great you can weigh in. Am I missing anything? I'm turning 37 soon for what it's worth.

Three more things if someone's able to assist

-1-
I used to below form I got from the TRT company, they initially only had Testosterone, E2, PSA & HB Only on it.
So I added the rest, it wouldn't matter right? And I will still be getting my results (for personal analysis) even if there's a referring doctor / lab number on the form?

-2-
Any rough idea what this might cost, I have no clue, never done blood tests before. Don't want to end up with a R10k suprise.

-3-
Also, am I being blind, I can't find SHBG. Should I just add it under other tests?

Thank!

Hey all, let me jump right to the results:

Age: 37

TESTOSTERONE (TOTAL) 23.2 nmol/L (669.1344 ng/dL)
FREE TESTOSTERONE 472 pmol/L (13.57 ng/dL)
SHBG 37.9 nmol/L
S-FOLLITROPIN (FSH) 4.0 U / L
S-LUTROPIN (LH) 5.4 U / L

*All the other recommended tests were in range, but let me know if I should add them here as well.
** My prolactin was out of range, I'm however not experiencing any of the symptops at all, will test again for confirmation. I'm thinking to start low, 250mg/week, test only, 16/20weeks.

I apologize in advance if some of these questions are dumb, but google failed me.

1.
I'm aware that everyone is different, but based on my bloods what ball park range can I expect my T/Free T to go to on 250mg? I feel that my Test is pretty average but free Test is on the lower side.

2.
I've seen comments where people say

3.
Taking my bloods into account, will there be a feasible difference to justify the proposed cycle., but let's say my test levels double, would it really make that much of a difference?

Thanks!

Just a follow up for those who might have similar questions, kinda feel silly now after going through the process.

Google Lancet universal form.
Print it out and fill
Hand it to reception and tell them you're doing it in your own capacity and paying cash.
Super friendly and easy.

My total cost was R4k for the below:

FULL BLOOD COUNT
GLUCOSE METABOLISM (HBA1C etc)
TSH
T3
T4
E2
Test (total)  [it includes SHBG]
Test free
FSH
LH
PROLACTIN
U & E | Creatinine
Lipogram
PSA

Went in the morning, got my results within 8h.
