Pierre Spies

In 2007 Pierre Spies was diagnosed with a rare blood clot in his lungs... was this really the case or was there more to the matter?

Any input?

I remember clearly watching him walking off the field in Cape Town during a pre world cup training session at Bishops when he discovered he had been spitting up blood while training. The result was he was ruled out of the tournament for a rare medical disorder. Rumors spread that he had been caught taking steroids and he was pulled out to save him from getting banned, utter rubbish! He walks the walk and talks the talk, a firm believer that actions speak louder than words. There is nothing artificial about Pierre Spies.

dude, i reckon it was because he would have tested positive for some AAS...blood clot, shmud clot...klomp kak as jy my vra...

I heard that it was a blood clot, but it was caused by steroid use in earlier years. I also spoke to a couple of springboks from my town and some say yes others no. So who knows?

Not to be a dick but what has being religious got to do with maybe using AAS and lying about it? We are all human. Maybe he lied, maybe he didn't. Who cares. All pro athletes use gear some time or another. I personally know of a lot of U/19 and U/21 rugby players who use juice, but don't get tested or caught.

also agree here,religion has got jack to do with the fact that any guy can be on steroids,im big in religion and i take steroids...

fact is its commen knowledge when you know alot of pro sport persons that a huge amount of them take roids,they know how to get past it,also no test for gh so pierre can have as many as he likes...
point is we go by what we hear and see and will never all sit around the same table with this issue as we will most likely all disagree.....

my take is this: i know top sports people in alot of different sports and also a clever doc and they all know what we think we know....some guys use it and some just dont...but a hell of alot of them do forsure...

Ye my neighbour is a pretty short guy, he's off season atm (He only moved in Jan) and this dude is huge. I'm pretty sure he's used..

Saizen, you need to stand for and believe in something be it religion or principles. The problem is that there's not many people that stand for anything and as the proverb goes, "if you don't stand for something you'll fall for anything".
