How am I still standing? was created by thePridge
I went for test tests on Monday... and even though I haven't seen the doctor my results are available on pathcare's app (their new app/portal is KAK... but thanks for cocking it up and allowing me to see the data before it should be released I guess).

On the positive... ALL my other stuff is solid green - liver, lipids, uric acid, glucose, insulin.

SEX HORMONE BIND.GLOBULIN - 26 (range 11 - 78 nmol/L)
T-TESTOSTERONE (ABBOTT)  - 7.8 (range 8.3 - 30.1 nmol/L)
FREE TESTOSTERONE - CALCULATED - 170.9 (range 284-734 pmol/L)
PSA (ABBOTT) - 0.67 (range 0 - 2.5 ug/L)

How wrecked am I? According to research the numbers are blerrie low aka "this is TRT territory".

Also... I'm managing to do 70 to 80 min weight training sessions, moving 15 to 17 tons of volume during that time. I'm not super strong but I've taken my bench from 60 to 85kg in the last 3 months. So my strength is improving. If the doctor puts me on TRT I'm going to be bending bars. lol

More so what is your lh and fsh numbers, what are your liver and iron values, ALP and bilirubin, cholesterol? Thyroid? Iron? Full blood count. All of these things are important.

Alp will see if there is a zinc deficiency, fsh and lh will see if there is a brain signal thing.

Also what is your stress level? What is your calorie level? How is recovery? How much cardio are you doing? All of these things will affect testosterone levels.

Its like measuring your bank account the day before payday, its going to be low if you are buying on your credit card and accruing massive interest, and not paying back the debt.

Also being in range is not functionally optimal.

Recovery is fine - based on not really get too much in the line of DOMS and I'm progressing in terms of weight/number of sets.

Stress has been relatively high for long.

Thank you for the input! Advice and insight appreciated.

And you wonder why your car is not running at optimum.its an under fueling thing..

Hb1ac at 5.5 shows there has been 3 months of high carbohydrates or you are eating the wrong type..

Liver is under stress and bile flow isnt great.

Doms isnt the only marker for recovery. Motivation, sleep, hunger, all of those are markers of recovery.

When I eat higher calories I don't lose weight / fat. According to the broad "calories calculation" I should be at around 2100 - 2200 for maintenance with a "sedentary" lifestyle.
I spent 100 days eating at 1500 kcal before adding exercise. Should than not have started seeing weight/fatloss?
I stick to whole foods - chicken, leaner meat cuts. Basically no takeaways except like Friday night every second weekend.

wrong type

What would you call the wrong type? I'm sticking to wholewheat stuff. I'm not doing refined sugar, fizzy drinks, pies/chips etc.

Liver is under stress and bile flow isnt great.

Yes. I have been diagnosed with MASLD and I'm coming out of 10 years of being sedentary.

Yebo. Which is why I listed a list of stuff. I had a root canal which resulted in a 600 calorie intake day. Gym was horrid the next day. I ran out of energy early in the session.
When I hit 1500/1600 I can keep going for 80 minutes of lifting. My sleep is decent (I'm getting 7/8 hours now where I was averaging 5/6 for 10 years).

I spent too many years not looking after myself. But I have improved a number of things and working on improving more.

It's not complicated. Your body see's your prolonged caloric deficit as starvation. Long term excessive caloric restriction lowers testosterone, because building new muscle tissue is counterproductive to the body when it thinks food is scarce.

Muscle burns 3 times more calories at rest than fat. On an extreme diet the body starts burning muscle before fat as part of it's survival instinct.

Many issues going on all in 1..but MA hit exactly what I was implying.

Just because weight isn't coming down, does not mean fat isnt coming off..but most likely, estrogen is high, free t3 is low based on those liver markers.

Potentially if that is low Stomach acid is low.

Can be a 1000 different things but mainly going to go with nutrient deficiency, combined with if you dont pass a stool daily, possible sibo etc.
