I have been on Banting then Keto and Paleo for a while each. Recently my results and performance all improved drastically. I follow a Paleo/Keto hybrid diet meaning I avoid all dairy even milk and cheese and all processed foods. Avoid carbs and eat a lot of healthy fats from coconut oil avocado oil and olive oil and fish oil. I also only eat green vegetables except peas.

Try it bud. My returns have been more than worth the effort.

No matter where you shop shop around the perimeter...

That sounds bloody AWFUL!! :side:

I know many people that bloat and feel sick after eating carbs and they benefit greatly from no or low carb diets.

I recommend these high fat diets to many, because most find it so much easier to follow and they actually get results.

Just seems more natural and healthy hey.
I read some articles on how dairy and wheat and most carbs we as humans were not meant to consume that is why there are so many people that are lactose intolerant and the same goes for gluten intolerant and carbs insulin resistance and diabetes is natures way of trying to tell us some thing. I was always carb sensitive but when I took your advice and went Keto brother not just my physique improved my heal the and all aspects of my life. Carbs are actually an inflammatory agent if over consumed and all my wrists ankles knees and shoulders always used to bug me but when I dropped carbs and upped fat it went away and cleared up no more clicking or popping or pain or discomfort. No I always suffered from bad megraines and some times so bad I passed out. I always put that down to my caffeine intake but when I dropped dairy that stopped no headaches even. On Monday I introduced dairy again and my headaches returned. Now remember a while back I told you and Oupa than when on orals I find my nose bleeds a lot. When I do not consume dairy or carbs it is not an issue. I have a hunch that milk is the worst though but I wil confirm once I am on cycle again though.

This argument is a big one. And even with the knowledge and qualifications I have, I rarely entertain this debate. RooiBul, if you cut out foods one by one, and you found benefit to those omissions - I am sincerely happy for your discovery. Not many people truly understand how their food makes them feel, and interacts uniquely.
Not undermining you, just be careful of your source of info.

Vreeslik interessant. Migraines are probably one of the most elusive conditions/symptoms. I for one would be interested in your findings. In general I have a bad feeling towards milk, but I can't be arsed to substitute with milk alternatives. Cutting it out completely is the logical thing for me too. Common cheese has also little added benefit. RooiBul, you definitely took your body and nutrition in the right direction man.

That is why I have been so quiet and not posting progress or updates. Because since going from normal eating to Keto again now I didn't just go bam full Keto I went from a normal diet but at just under my maintenance calories. I had bread, rice potatoes dairy all in there and each week me and Lallie eliminated one item to see how I felt and if I noticed something I added for example milk, then yoghurt then cheese if I wanted to confirm then I added it in again. This has slowed my progress and results for now yes but now I know what my body likes and does not like and what bloats me and what makes me feel slugging. I did notice that even though milk, cheese and yogurt gave bad headaches and make me me feel tired butter which is also dairy makes me feel energetic and does not give headaches. I know this will not be the case for everyone as we all metabolise products differently. It also meant some days that just to see what a certain food or product would do I couldn't train because I felt to sick or mif it was all worth it though to gain the knowledge of how my body reacts and what it likes.

You and Pyro actually are to thank for this because of the knowledge I gained from you guys and the motivation to that drives me to learn all I can about nutrition. What I want to do now Is to eliminate bad info sources difficult to find credible articles and information.

Furk, Pyroclasm, Oupa, 00Pump, Muscle Addict and Admin thank you guys for teaching me and always answering and helping me even though I sometimes ask stupid questions and seem indecisive.
I appreciate you oaks

Pleasure man we help gladly. When I listen to your story I get a distinct impression that you seem to be lactose intolerant. Lactose is milk sugar pure and simple. Pure cheese and butter for example does not have it. Buy some pure aged cheese, cut out all other dairy and eat lots of it, then see if the headaches return.

The best is to try dry cheese like for example parmesan. Eat lots of it and see if you react.
