Ameen.

Unfortunately we have rules with very good reasoning behind it.
However you may ask for anything in this thread and there will be plenty if help and info made available by anyone who has experience or knowledge.

Just to update on my condition (mainly for pump hahaha)

So I'm feeling great with no drains, no pain and only just the discomfort of still having a compression bandage very tight around my chest. Have not yet seen my actual results, but tomorrow the compression bandage comes off and I'll have my first look.

From reading I do expect to have some swelling visible so not yet a true reflection of results, but still excited to see the outcome.

Something I did notice is that he took the bits of fat away around the upper chest area as well. Quite noticeable on the sides close to my underarm area. I can already tell theres more muscle than anything else over there which leads me to believe the "main area" is also going to look amazing.

As for recovery, probably not the right train of thought but I did find a bottle of anavar in the house. What's the thoughts on me using this as a low dose just to retain muscle during recovery? My thinking is that I wont be training flat out for at least the next month or so in order to recover properly without affecting the scarring too much. So a low dose anavar would prevent muscle wastage and potentially keep the fat away from the area (coupled with good eating and some cardio of course).

I might as well just ask here as all I was after is the name of the doctor who did your surgery.

I've been dealing with prepubescent gyno for years and it's steadily worsening. I'm desperate to get it removed, but I'm not on medical aid and I don't have R50000 or more to drop on a surgery.

I remember seeing a post of yours from way back where you advised someone else to try Grootte Schuur, and I remember them posting an update to say that they were successful in getting an appointment booked there.

Do you have any information about Groote Schuur or know anyone that has had gyno surgery done there?

Ok so groote schuur does the surgery. The costs involved are difficult to confirm. Remember they work based on your income at the hospital. So less you earn, the less the cost due to government subsidy. However you cant just go there and claim you're earning R500 per month when you're earning alot more. I've heard they do actually investigate lately due to fraud. So I'm not advising you to go and fabricate a salary, payslip and bank statement to match your low salary... because that would be illegal.

As for doctors, if going via groote schuur I don't know who your doc would be at all. I do know that alot of their doctors are experienced though as they do plenty of breast augmentations when it comes to cancer patients.

The doctor that did mine does work for GSH as well. Doctor Isaac's is his name. Young guy but knows his stuff especially since he has personal experience having had the op himself.
When I first went to see him around the planning stage he had another older doctor with him and they seemed to have planned well around how much, from where and the method they'd use. So I felt alot better seeing all this as opposed to just being told "hey we're snipping". They took the time to explain why they're doing the method, why not another method, explained the different types if gyno etc. Was an awesome experience in general. I cant remember the older doctors name, but seemed to me as if this doctor was also his mentor as he showed utmost respect to this doctor. They also had what I can only describe as an intern there, explained alot to her as well and I got to learn a bit more than what the average patient learns about gyno.

My advice, give GSH a try. I honestly don't know where to send you from the get go but I'm sure any reception area would be able to send you to the correct place.

Shukran brother. That's super helpful. I'll give GSH a try a soon as I got my car back. I'm a full-time student and I'm on a bursary, so arranging finance etc should be a big hassle. All the best with your recovery in shā Allah.

If you're a full time student then please do go.

Also I just spoke to someone I know there. He says to get a referral letter from your GP. They wont just help you without one fir this procedure.

I'm pretty sure you have a good relationship with your gp, he shouldn't have an issue doing this for you at all.
