Supplements for Liver Function

Good day,

Could anyone recommend a decent supplement(s) for liver function?
Especial when using tabs/orals the liver takes a huge toll and it's always best to supplement throughout such cycles.

What would you suggest?

It will effect everyone differently. I've used like 4 orals at the same time with no meds and only started to feel a bit rough after 5 weeks. Some people take liver meds with one oral and struggle. Some never take liver meds and abuse orals and never have any issues. I never take liver meds because even after long periods on a few orals my bloodwork came back saying I had liver damage similar to a weekend on the booze. Blood work will be the best way to see.

I'm sure I read somewhere on this forum that Milk Thistle makes your oral less effective, maybe not here but I've read it somewhere. It is recommended that you use it 2 weeks prior, then use it at the end again. Use Essentiale Extreme during, again I stand to be corrected.

Glad this thread came up, been meaning to ask whether anyone has experience with Liv.52 and how it was compared to the more traditional liver supports such as Milk Thistle and Essentiale?

This is what is what is in each liv52 DS (Double Strength) tablet and the box recommends you take 2 a day:

Capparis spinosa 130mg
Cichorium intybus 130mg
Mandur bhasma 66mg
Solanum nigrum 64mg
Terminalia arjuna 64mg
Cassia occidentalis 32mg
Achillea millefolium 32mg
Tamarix gallica 32mg

It is cheaper than Essentiale and if it works, could be a nice alternative to milk thistle.

Yeah, apparently Milk Thistle can inhibit the function of androgen receptors.
To what degree / how much of an issue or concern it is, I am not entirely sure. Haven't look into it all that much.
