Where do you guys buy your supplements e.g. whey & pre- workout?

I am stunned by the prices at which these supplements go nowadays. My friend in Canada buys top of the range supplements (ON/GS) at more than half the price we pay here! WTF? 2kg whey and a pre workout almost adds up to my month's groceries :huh:

Do you guys buy from e.g. Dischem or online? I'm seriously considering just leaving the supps completely if it means I'm gonna go completely broke lol

My last Nutrictech whey was R585 for 3.2 kg - R182 per kg is hard to beat I'd say

BTW, IMO protein can/must be part of monthly groceries money...

The only thing you really need is whey and you can get that from either Ondier on the site BSSA or I get mine from the sup shop in Eastgate 3kg Nutritech whey for just under R500, it's good stuff and cheaper than I've seen it anywhere else.

If your budget is tight then concentrate and buy their BCAA's and glutamine it's dirt cheap.

I don't mean to bad mouth BSSA but I did have trouble getting my stuff. Its not that they were robbing me but they just take forever to send out stuff from time to time. They refunded me straight away which was a good.

Try basicsupplements.co.za! They really aren't bad

dobby unfortunately that is a big issue nowadays. I often deal with online suppliers and have had soooo many problems, hence me asking that

Either one will be good, both have their moments but by in large they run smoothly, personally I have never had an issue with BSSA apart from once (lol) and Ondier gave me a free kg of whey to make up for it.

To you it may look like I just did a push-up... But in fact, I just bench-pressed the world.

I get the 3.2kg nutritech from chromeshop.co.za, delivery usually in 3 days max. For 599 you can't beat it.

Dischem has Evox Synergy whey 2.2Kg on special for R449. Convenient if you don't want to wait/pay for shipping and its a decent product.

Take my word for it when I tell you that if you have to wait for your product to arrive, it is not that Janet and Ondier is trying to BS you. That means they are having problems from one or other nature and they are having problems with everyone then and not just you. They did have some logistical problems a while ago yes but that is sorted now. I buy from them because they go completely out of their way for me and anything that happens they keep me posted. Two good people.

I have just received my whey from Chrome Supplements. I don't mean to advertise, but I just have to mention that I placed and paid my order online yesterday afternoon and received it about 10 minutes ago. What GREAT service! So impressed....

I bought Nutritech 100% Whey for R599 for 3.2kg (106 servings),most cost effective by FAR from anything I could find and I tell you I spent HOURS surfing the net and browsing the isles.

24g protein,1g fat,2g carbs,BCAA's. I took vanilla (I usually stay away from vanilla)and it's delicious! I hear the choc/choc mint is also very good. Mixes like a dream,no foaming, no clogging and went down smooth. Also no bad aftertaste. Tastes better than the Evox and USN I've used before. I'm definitely so happy. This weekend I'm gonna make protein bars with it!

And they included numerous Gold Standard and Supashape whey samples. And some pre-workout samples too. And the service was great from placing my order, to updating me on the dispatch and delivery. Worth every cent.

If it's the Nutritech - I find it a bit sweet, add dextrose and you're in for a rough ride.

It mixes well with a hand blender, and retains the mixture, it doesn't seperate.

I mix my shake before leaving for gym. ( with water)

At the moment, the Banana Cream is my favourite, trying the Cookies & Cream at the moment, will probably dare the American Creamsoda next.

Banana Cream will be my next. The vanilla is not too sweet at all (and I have NO sweettooth) so I'm happy.
