Hey guys,

So just had a discussion with an angry buddy of mine that informed me he just found out his whey uses Acesulfame K for sweetening. Worse it seems a lot of whey brand do. Like what the fuck?? The shit has been repeatedly tested to show clear links to cancer and changed brain function. This is bullshit. It used to be sucrolose which was a lot safer. It seems they don't give a shit anymore for their clients. We as a community should give these brands the finger. Seems you can't trust any of their marketing for shit!

I am not really one for supplements in general, keep it to a few. I do not supplement with whey at the moment so it does not really make a difference to me right now.

That being said I feel as if a lot of chemicals and substances are bad for us in one way or another. Sure some may be worse than others however nothing seems perfect. Shit gets added into soo many things, alebit in smaller doses, it is there there and really not good - fluoride is a good example.

I know you saw the Anabolic Steroids SA - Supplements thread as you replied, so let's hope Admin is able to push out a superior product which does not contain Acesulfame K.
For some Abs are made with lighting & angles... For others they are made in the kitchen.

It just sucks that there are better alternatives. If you look at what Ace K does, especially to your brain in just 40 weeks, it is literally poison. But as you said hopefully Admin launches soon. He should actually start a brand, not just a raw sell point and expand into the market at large. There are no more affordable quality brands that doesn't screw you over. It is a market share that is available to him. I thought Nutritech would fill the gap but they are also on the Ace K bandwagon so no better than the rest IMO.

Stay away from artificial sweeteners. Most of them cross the blood-brain barrier and are neurotoxic.

Unflavoured is the whey to go! ;) just add some coffee to flavour.

And yet all of the good studies show very little to zero side effects despite this. When you say neurotoxic, how neurotoxic? It's like saying something is unhealthy- is it so mild it has no effect, or will it kill you in 5 years?

I the code for Acesulfame K is E950. So have a look on that ingredient list. However I don't think that most of the stuff they say is in a shake is really in there, but that is just my opinion.

Although acesulfame potassium has a stable shelf life, it can eventually degrade to acetoacetamide, which is toxic in high doses.

Thats like a person drinking 1343 cans of Fizz
Seems like your close...
