Hi guys,

Wondering where I can buy some of muesclemeds Carnivore shake? Lactose intolerant so whey is not an option. Need it for those times when I'm far from food. Don't see it on many shelves in SA.

Surely soy concentrate, egg powder, pea protein powder, and vegan protein powder, would all be viable options?

Hi Furk,

Honestly haven't heard of the options you mention, but good to know there are a few more options. Trainer recommended Carnivor so just been going with that. Taste is not to bad considering it's probably a cow that it's made from. Try not to think of that when drinking it.

Cheers.

Agree with red Bull. If you can afford it, the egg protein would be your best option.

Considering the requirement is a shake because he is "far from food" opens up to even more affordable options. Eg: Buy bulk biltong, shave into small pieces, weights out and put into small Zip-lock bags. There is nothing magical about protein powder.

Not discrediting protein powders , or RooiBul's input.

No fan of dieting so would rather have solid food gents. Some days just difficult to get the right combination of foods in so a shake on standby at least kicks the protein without adding to much of the nasties. Thanks Rooi Bul and Zaino, will give the egg protein a try.

You will be way off better to go hunting at least for a buck or 2, then make biltong of that, or just hit a big Kudu and get biltong off that. Took me about 3 months to finish a Kudu of about 180kg of meat, didn't finish it off alone I would add, next time I'm not sharing shit, 100g of Biltong = 18% fat and 82% Protein.

If you keep doing what you've been doing
You gonna keep getting what you've been getting...

Apparently quality whey isolate works for those lactose intolerant but I have not tested this.
