Guys help,

With some of the muti I'm on I am getting cramps and back pumps that hurt like, well, you know...

There's something quite special about getting a hamstring cramp during a bar bending squat....

Im already supplementing with potassium and magnesium, but they seem ineffective.

I understand that 3-5g of taurine ED may assist.... But I've no idea where to find it - yes it's a component of the usual protein powders but at 3g,thats a whole lot of shakes just for one ingredient....

Any ideas of if, or where I can source just taurine as a stand alone?

Shot,
X

Hi X.

Try Nutriech Glu-Taurine it is a mix of Glutamine and Taurine both dosed at 3g per serving if I remember correct. I take it when I use orals as I get back pumps and cramps when on orals and it helped me in the past. I turned to the Nutritech Glu-Taurine as I had the same problem as you could not find it correctly dosed or as a stand alone. Hope it helps
It is on you. It always has been...

Thanks bru, that really does help - I'll check with my gym to get some and report back on effectiveness...

I find a combination of Salt Tabs (from Clicks - mix of sodium, potassium and magnesium) plus Taurine @ 100mg sorts me out. I have the cramping from Clen during contest prep. A quick fix if needed urgently is a good old Red Bull. This won’t likely sort out back pumps. I ave never had that issue but read an article where it was asserted that this is generally from psoas not activating so your errectors overwork. Apparently doing some abdominal work before back work helps pre-activate the psoas and solves that problem.

Xporn, check out Solal Taurine, 90 Caps (500mg per cap) for about R155 at Dischem. I ordered some online yesterday. They also have Amipro Taurine, 60 Caps (500mg per cap) at R92.
