Check this out: www.anabolicsteroids.co.za/forum/9-suppl...lements-product-line

Secondly, whey and creatine are your two most trustworthy supplements. Before that though, what's even better is to make sure your diet is set as well as having a good training program.

Food is the best supplement you need, regardless of your goals. Go to the 'Dieting & Contest Preparation' section and read DJ's stickies called 'Dieting 101' and 'Dieting 102'. Can't find them? Type in 'Dieting 102' on Google and click on the first link.

What are your stats, goals and current diet? When we know that's covered we'll work on what supplements you might need.

Oh, and welcome to the forum!

Yip I agree totally.. Creatine and Whey..

Love my creatine .. ( if use properly , drink load of water....)

Never fraternize with them as equals, never accept them as your social equals or they will devour you, they will destroy you.

Glutamine! Your Whey is useless without Glutamine!
In fact most Post-Workout drink have Glutamine and Creatine together as they complment each other so well. Followed 30 mins later by your Whey. Remember, again, without a high GI carb to spike insulin after workout your supplements ain't going nowhere!!

Whey already contains some glutamine, no harm in adding extra though. Wouldn't call it useless

Yes Whey contains glutamine as its a part of protein amino acid profile, BUT its not nearly enough on its own in that regard and supplementing with glutamine is a must.

Protein, Glutamine and then consider creatine and from there u can dabble into beta alanine etc

Size Matters

Mmm, what brand?

There is just no clear winner, but here's my opinion.

When it comes to the local brands, I think SSN is up there with best and it's affordable. I'm not a huge fan of USN or the Dischem version called Biogen.
I mix various brands. The Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard Whey is supposedly the best Whey. I like the BSN Pre and Post workout supps. N.O. Xplode and Cellmass (creatine and glutamine in one). I also use the Optimum Nutrition Casein protein (slow release protein before bed).

However it's your call. If you want to look like Jay Cutler you MUST use Muscletech!! LOL :P

id love to use the supps mentioned but they are far too expensive for a student

SSN, LION and Nutritech all have great products. LION is the only guys that have Creapure creatine though except for Optimum Nutrition which is a brilliant but expensive brand. Either way all of them are worth trying out

Spartan. I buy from Extreme Nutrition, cheapest in the country. You can compare for yourself.
They are all over the country. Just Google it.

What is the price for their whey? How would rate their quality compared to Ondier?

Can't really compare, bearing in mind I buy the branded supps, BSN/MuscleTech etc.
So, IF you want to go that route you can't beat Extreme Nutrition. BSSA is more for Raw supps isn't it?
