What is normal testosterone levels

What is the normal testosterone levels for a man at 42 years old, test was done just after 8 in the morning. Doctor said all ok but all the internet sites say mine is like that of a 85 year old. I only started my first beginner cycle three days ago and my main concern is if I can do a test replacement therapy for couple of months after cycle doing now and skip pct for now.

Your test levels look great dude! Don't believe everything you read on the Internet. If I was 85 with that amount of free test I would be so happy.

On this subject. Most doctors will tell you that you are in normal range when within the reference range. So does one need to be so low before going onto trt?

The ref ranges are really just guidelines bro. Depending on age, if your total test goes below 12 then you can try a proper PCT. If that doesn't work and it stays below 12 then you can think about HRT.

No i realize that. But for a doc to put you onto trt... How low should your test be, because there is no real benchmark on this. Thats why like i said most docs will say its fine as long as its in reference range. This range has also been changed (from what i have read). The bottom limit on the reference range might be fine for the doc but won't be so easy to hold on to mass while not on cycle.

I see now the mistake I made 16.6 nmol/l total test eqeals 488 pmol/l and that is in range for a 55 year old so I gained 30 years from my previous free test only check. I will complete beginner cycle and pct and redo test. Thank you for the help so far.

Out of my experiences doctors will normally put you on HRT if you are under 10, but only if they think these are your natural levels. once you have done steroids they should know that the HPTA is damaged and it takes time to repair. You are right the ref ranges do change every couple of years based on new data. Any particular reason you are asking bro? Maybe I can help?

Ok thanks, that kind of gives me an idea. No just asking to educate myself on the topic. Its where most guys doing roids land up so better to know all the ins and outs.
