Gentlemen,
I saw a specialist endocrinologist recently, for advice on my low test after my last cycle. I was honest about my AAS/SERM use. Some comments:
1.he said TRT & HGH drug prescription is a huge industry and growing, which he does not like.
2 his treatment is to try to 'salvage' the patient's HPT system - try to restore natural production of hormones. He says that the first parts of the HPT axis to fail in AAS users are usually the pituitary and thyroid, not the gonads (testicles)
3. he prescribes only Nebido, rarely Clomifene Citrate (Clomid) and only as much as needed to 'supplement' the patient's own hormone production. No HCG, no injected testosterone.
Accepting he is an expert, I have 2 problems with his advice:
1. he gave me a lab referral, for full blood count, and told me to wait 'about 2 weeks' after I stop taking all AAS/SERM, before doing the blood count. Surely two weeks is too short to get an accurate picture?
2. I have always believed that ANY exogenous testosterone shuts down the HPT axis - surely Nebido in any dose will do this too?
Any thoughts or opinions would be appreciated - thanks

Who are we are to argue with this expert. If an educated endocrinologist says you can recover your natural testosterone production while injecting exogenous testosterone (nebido) then I guess we've all been wrong the whole time.
You seem like a smart guy mack. You know if you wasted your money on this advice or not. I hate dissing professionals who have studied years to get where they are, and do this stuff for a living. But right now I feel like banging my head against a wall.

Why don't you drop Dr Scally an email about this. He will more than likely respond. He's specialised in HPTA dysfunction due to AAS for over 20 years. Go to his site
www.asih.net
and click 'contact'.
Check out this article he wrote an ASIH (anabolic steroids induced hypogonadism)
"Exogenous testosterone serves only to remedy the symptoms of suppressed testicular/gonadotropin production. While it may transiently combat the lean muscle atrophy, declining muscular strength, decreased libido, erection dysfunction, and depression associated with hypogonadism, it will not stimulate endogenous testosterone production. Administered testosterone will only suppress testicular function further."

I firmly believe that "the degree does not make the man". For some reason when it comes to medicine people don't apply it.
