Strength Cycle before joining the Legion was created by donivanzyl
What's up bros

I am thinking of joining the legion in the first quarter of next year and need a perfect strength cycle before I go

I am about 1.76m, 80kg and 13% bf.

Deca/Sust/dbol combo?

If you're crazy enough to join the legion for a 5 year contract then as far as a strength cycle goes - as much of everything you can afford applies.

The detection time for Deca makes it a poor choice and the extra bulk from a "strength cycle" will make cardio more difficult and that's what you are predominantly tested on in the military.

Picking up strength/weight now would be completely counter-intuitive for the legion. You will run, run, march, run and march some more. Strength is important but in-as-much as you can support your own bodyweight.

I would advise endurance and stamina with strength as a second focus of training. If you can do pull-ups, sit-ups, and move your own bodyweight over some heights with an increasingly heavier loads you will be fine.

I would not even consider injecting anything at this stage if I were you. Consider GW501516 and change your training program to accommodate functional strength training and more endurance and stamina training.

P.S: I am talking from a place where I also trained roughly 8 months for basics.

Hi @donivanzyl:

What does your training look like?

As Witwolf mentioned, wouldn't you rather like to have a good strength to weight ratio when it comes to preparation for joining the Legion.

Focusing on picking up strength will also results in muscle mass and extra weight. When picking up another 5-8kg, you will be nearing 90kg's and being only 1.76m, that a lot of bodyweight to throw around.

If I were you, I would definitely look into something like Oupa's Crossfit cycle and start incorporating high intensity and stamina training. You want to gain strength, but also try to lean out and get fit in the process.

Your other option is to look into Sarms. No injections, minimal sides.
-GW501516
-MK2866
-RAD140.

Otherwise, just a plain and simple test-only cycle.

What is your experience? How many cycles have you done before?

Sore today, strong tomorrow!!!

Talk is cheap. He hasn't applied to join the legion. If he joins the legion then yes he will earn respect.

X2. You should be running, rucking and doing hundreds of reps of body weight exercises because that's exactly what you will be doing over there.

I would just like to point something out. If you go to the legion you are going to be pushed to your physical, mental and emotional limits in many of the selection tests. Firstly, if you think you need steroids to help you get to the level you need to be at then you may not have the right mentality in the first place and secondly, when you aren't on cycle and when you're covered in mud, freezing, physically broken and have someone shouting in your face etc etc you will say "if only I was on something like I was last year, I would be able to do this". No matter what people say, steroids do make things easier and are a short cut and I think taking that short cut for military training is actually going to create a chink in your mental/emotional armour.

You will also need to do a medical where they can test you for steroids.

Almost everyone I know in the military has used steroids but they did so after passing their selection. They had what it took to pass and then they built on top of that afterwards.

I highly doubt you will be tested for steroids as a standard protocol. I'm not sure what military Hormonas is talking about specifically, but in the British and US army you don't get tested normally unless a commanding officer requests the test specifically. Same thing in South Africa. I've seen this discussed many times on forums over the years.

The only thing you must cycle now and lots of it is... Willpower and Determination...

I am ex-Military.

I agree with Hormanas doing a cycle now knowing that you are going to be going to go through some if the toughest tests of your life in only going to put you mentally in a bad spot once you are there don't use a crutch now in your prep. Get fit build up endurance and once you are there you wil soon see who the big dogs are strike up a few conversations and then find out what the use you don't have to use what they use just find a supplier.

Run. Do a lot of push ups and sit ups. Pack a 25kg back pack and walk as far as you can. Vary the terrain.

Sterkte.

It is on you. It always has been...

Whilst I was in London I made a lot of military mates (as I was originally there to go to Sandhurst), mainly Parachute Regiment, some in the Marines. Two of them were tested for steroids at their medicals but the guys were very obviously on gear, one was caught and had to apply for the next intake. The rest of them weren't tested! I still think it's not worth risking and if his recovery isn't perfect then he could be attempting to pass selection with low test levels :D

British Army, Parachute Regiment. 2 Para. Oupa.
Signed up for Infantry in early 2005 got selected and passed selection just after basics. Cleared out beginning 2008.

More than that I can not say and am not comfortable saying on here.

It is on you. It always has been...

When someone mentions deca and sus in the same sentence, 9 times out of 10 they have been speaking to the bros in the gym who think they know everything.

Advice: Research, research and more research. You will not need to ask what cycle to do if you have done enough of it :)

No lets not deadlift as I need a double hip replacement haha

This idea is such a priority I really want to stress how important it is to any member reading this new or veteran.
