Getting Bloods done...

Hey guys,

I'm likely getting bloods done soon and was hoping to get some suggestions on what to get tested.
I'm going to get Iron tested as I used to be slightly anaemic and was also thinking of checking test levels, LH, FSH, and cholesterol(family history). Any other suggestions on what to check that could be useful information?

Stats:

Age: 19
Height: +-180cm
Weight: 71kg
BF: 6-8%

PS- I haven't used any anabolics yet lol. Any input is appreciated, thanks guys!

Then why you worried about those hormones. They going to be high as you a teenager and your hormones are firing properly. Keep it that was, a B deficiency could also be a reason for suffering with anaemia, however it's also very common in teens/early 20s (iron related), however it's very simply to spot by just looking at the eye.

Thanks for response Pump. I'm just interested to see exactly where those hormones are sitting (yes I know they probably high) but I suppose I'm just looking for confirmation. I do have plenty of B Vitamins and 15mg of Iron daily, and I definitely don't feel lethargic so I'm expecting the iron levels to be normal.

Will think about it and give you a few things to check. Nice to have these tests results as you go forward in life. Try use lancet as their app on the phone makes it so easy to compare bloods going forward. I just need to look at a blood form to advise will check at the office.

Sorry I forgot to get back to you. Maybe someone else can advise as I don't have the sheet with me and my mind is tired to think of things from memory.

The only other thing I can think of is Vit-D and liver enzymes. Liver should really not be a problem but that's a standard item steroid users check, gets worse with oral steroids, continued medications and drinking. If you suspect anemia why didn't the refering doctor not advise red blood count? Or did a hematologist already determine all your blood values earlier?

Thanks for help guys, I'm already scheduled to test FBC, glucose - fasted, and cholesterol only. I'm not suspicious of anaemia,just testing because I had anaemia previously. Will also get the things you mentioned tested as well just to have a reference point going forward. Won't really bother with liver check if I haven't used any anabolics?...

I agree, liver not needed, just giving you some background info.
