When asking for advice, you need to provide all the details and not only 10% of it.

Post your diet, supplements, training program as well as those test results showing the high urea levels so that your situation is clear to those that might be able to help. Without all the details there is simply no way anyone can give you a meaningful answer.

Just a follow-up on this. I requested more details from Tess via email and asked Doctari to look at Tess' circumstances and the fatigue, nausea and high urea levels are all caused by her diet.

Right,

I ran this diet’s numbers roughly – had to use gestimates at some points, as the portions of food are not clearly indicated in every case. This diet has roughly 2100 kCals per 24h, of which 47% (250gr) is derived from protein, 25% (132gr) from carbohydrate and 28% (65gr) from fats. This is then a high prot/high fat diet by definition. And fairly low carb content for someone doing weight training. With this, the low water intake per 24h (only 2 liters) will be putting huge stress on the kidneys. The high muscle turnover rate caused by weight training “damage”, along with the high prot content, are what cause the urea levels to increase. However, I see levels of urea like in this particular case, quite regularly as physiological adaptations in weight training athletes.

Potential irritants to her stomach mucosa, are quite all over in this diet – Glutamine in crystalline form irritates the stomach, so does the large amount of cayenne pepper, cinnamon and glycerin – the latter a well- known cause for nausea in general. The carbohydrate sources are very limited and are being repeated as the same throughout the diet – most if not all, being medium GI types. There are no really low GI carbs in this diet – leading to fatigue in general. This diet is from a point of view of energy pathways and thermogenesis a very inefficient diet – 30% of the kCals coming from prot metabolism and digestion are lost as pure heat. No wonder she is feeling fatigued. Running this sheets days and weeks on end, will down regulated her thyroid function, further leading to fatigue.

Nowhere in any of the literature that I have studied over many, many years, have I come across Anavar seen as the cause of raised urea or causing nausea directly. Her symptoms in this case are directly linked to the diet and the effects thereof as stated above.

Hope this helps
Regards
Doctari

Thanks to Doctari for taking the time. *thumbs up*

Admin, I didn't see a post where Tess or Robbie wrote down what foods they eat daily, maybe an issue with Tapatalk 'cause Doctori mentioned medium GI carbs and such?

So I'm just going to put this out there as general advice: low carbing is fine, but, then you absolutely must have enough fat in your diet. Doctari mentioned protein metabolised for energy, that feeling is truly awful, you feel tired all the damn.

I mention because I've experienced this and one culprit was eating too much low-quality protein, processed foods in my case. It encourages the process. My second telltale that I was metabolising protein for fuel, was sweat smelling like ammonia (not to be confused with the odour and halitosis experienced while in Ketosis, which is like a acetone smell).

So, be safe: if you low carb it, do it properly. Don't think eating a diet of just protein will help prevent catabolism.

Tess didn't post all the info here, the details were requested by email and then sent to doc with her lab test results showing the high urea levels.

Unfortunately the lack of information makes this post pretty useless to anyone other then Tess, but I posted it here nonetheless because I wanted to proof two points: 1: we need ALL the info before we can give advice. 2: don't blame it on something unless all the facts are taken into consideration.

As far as Robbie goes, he should make his own thread and provide all the details. I'm going to delete his posts because they are hi-jacking this thread and only causing confusion.
