Advice needed was created by Jaco_L
Good day All,

This is my first post, long time lurker. I'll jump right into it.

Age: 28
Gender: Male
Height:178cm
Weight: 84kg
Bodyfat: 12%
Training: 3 Years
Area: Pretoria, Centurion
Calorie intake: Maintenance calories currently

Over the course of the last year I've been having issue with mild depression, low energy, lack of motivation and extreme fatigue.

I've been for MRI's, testicular sonograms, physicals and various blood tests and everything checked out.

After reading up on my symptoms, I suspected I have low T levels. I found a doctor that was willing to send me for blood-work, after having my suspicions immediately dismissed by countless other doctors due do my age.

Test scores came back: 233ng/dL. After voicing my concerns about how incredibly horrible I feel and the fact that my personal, as well as work life is suffering, my doctor refused TRT.

I've done thorough research on dosages and risks etc, and I feel that doctor's frown away from the use of T as treatment and that they aren't as competent as I perceived then to be in this regard.

[strike]I understand that sources can't be discussed, but I'm not sure where else to turn to.[/strike]

Realistically speaking, what are my options? I've seen a few online sites over the last year but it just seem to good to be true with too much 'papertrail'. [strike]I've asked around at the gym with no luck.[/strike]

I welcome any feedback and advice.

Thanks.

Hi Pyroclasm,

Thanks for your reply.

The figure mentioned in my original post was a blood test done abroad, based only on memory so could be wrong.

The info below were the figures I managed to pen down when the doctor was advising the nurse. She wouldn't allow me to take a picture.

Total Testosterone:10.2 nmol/L
Free Testosterone: 217 pmol/L
Oestradiol (E2): 84 pmol/L
SHBG: 61.1 nmol/L

I'm no expert when it comes to the blood test figures, proper noob to ne honest. I'm reading up on it at the moment to educate myself.

Advice/Guidance welcomed and appreciated.

Thanks.

You are well within TRT range, however I would like to give a damn good shot at jump-starting that engine and avoiding TRT. Here's what I would do:

HCG @500iu E3D for 6 weeks.
Clomid @50mg EOD for 2 weeks, then E3D for 4 weeks.
Nolva @20mg EOD until fnished with bottle.
Repeat above one more time.

Thereafter, wait 8 weeks and get bloods done again.

Thanks man, appreciate the feedback.

I too would rather avoid TRT but I can't live like this.

As soon as I can get a hold of the supplies, I'll give your suggestion a try, without a doubt.

Hey bud,

If I can offer any guidance, or advice, go to google and search aesthetics dr. I wish I could give you more info but the site has rules.

I went to see this doctor last week, he sent me for bloods, after bloods he scheduled an appointment and he wen I went to see him, he had everything in front of him, ready to assist and advise. He was very professional and knows his stuff. He had a script ready and ran me through the results which was:

Hormones:
Test 8.8 (LOW)
Free test 243 (LOW)
Estrogen 96 (HIGH)
Vitamin D3 17 (very LOW)

Inflammation:
S-CRP 1.2 (HIGH)
Homocysteine 10 (HIGH)
Ferritin 167 (HIGH)

He gave me a script to sort out low test (he did not prescribe me roids) and high estrogen. He also advised me to donate blood every 2 months for a year and then every 4 months to reduce Ferritin, he then prescribed me a multivitamin for Homocysteine metabolism and and Vitamin D3 tabs and Omega 3.

It was worth it and I would highly recommend anyone to see him. I am glad I did and it isn't expensive, the script he gave me is and I need to run it for 6 months. But if you have any concerns, when you make your appointment you can say upfront it is for post cycle evaluation.

Hi esgaroth,

Appreciate your input as I find myself in a similar position as you did.

Without breaking the rules, could you perhaps be a bit more specific in what region/ city this doctor opperates? As there are a number of aesthetic doctors I have found on google. Which mostly are specializing more in the anti-aging aspect and not necessarily in the hormonal aspect.

Tx

Hi,

If you search for healthy aging doctor the first search result should be it. It will give you 3 google maps results but the 1st one after that.

To elaborate on the prescription, the following was prescribed to me:
Bio-Identical Hormone Cream with the following:
Testosterone 5000.00mg
Anastrazole 6.250mg
Pentravan 50000.00mg
AL PUMP 1.000mg
AL PUMP Actuator 1.000mg
Al of these are per 50ml

Cream is applied to sensitive skin (ass) two pumps per day and can be used during cycle as well.

Vitamin D3 5000iu in tablet form

Metagenics Methyl CA (multi vitamin for hommocysteine metabolism)
And Omega 3 double strength.

4 days on the cream and I can feel my mood is more at ease and less irritable

Hi Esgaroth,

How is the prescribed cream working for you?
Are you basically using it for TRT purposes?
I am very keen on following your experiences with it.

I can start a new thread if need be.

Thank you.

Hi,

Sorry for my late response. Was travelling for work etc.

My first 2 weeks on the cream I could feel a rise in libido, not that much but it did make a difference. E2 came down as I could feel it in my nipps and increase in libido. Havent done blood yet to check E2 but will get bloods done in a week or 2.

However it doesn't work that fast it takes about 2 weeks or so to start feeling a difference although not significant.

It is not for TRT purposes, for now it is to give a boost to my test and lower E2. I do not experience any shutdown so far. I did raise the question if the cream serves as TRT and the answer was NO. It is a 6 month treatment to get test levels up and E2 lower then start using clomid and hcg to get natural test production higher. It is a long process and at this stage I am just trusting the process and see what happens.

Hi,
Have you managed to do some bloods?
And how is the progress going?

Would appreciate your experiences.

Hi Bud,

I am currently running a cycle while using the cream so I cannot say for sure the affect / benefits of the cream at the moment. The cycle was cleared by the doc and he is monitoring me during my cycle.
