I think guys try to take advantage of the short esters and try to have the test kick in earlier. Then switch over to the cyp once the long esters from the sust have kicked in.
EDIT: then keep things stable and have better control off their cycle with the single ester by knowing when it's cleared and not prolonging their bridge with the sust
Now I'm not saying it works as I have no experience or tests to prove that. But that is how some people think.
Personally I would just stay on the sust as well if I were to use it. I'm a test c or e fan though. I personally like being in "control" with a single ester and being able to know when exactly my system should be at its peak, cleared or stable.
Ps, these are personal opinions and in no way holy grail to follow. I'm also in no way trying to discredit sust as it's good if used properly
