Bloodwork was created by Daz
I'm a 32 year old male been training for about 6-8 years. I've run 2 and a in the past. One test enanthate only cycle and then another which was test enanthate with dbol during the first 4 weeks. Anyway I had a fairly serious accident where I broke my arm and did some damage to my shoulder so I've left steroids on the back burner to focus on full recovery but now I think I'm ready to do another cycle.

After doing some research and since becoming a member of this forum I thought let me get some bloodwork to monitor my hormone levels before and after and mabe during my cycle. So I got results back today from a lab I went to. I went directly to them and wasn't referred by a physician.

Any advise would be greatly appreciated. I plan to do another basic test enanthate 500mg a week pinning Mondays and Wednesdays or Thursdays with 30mg dbol a day during the first four weeks. I will probably run the Test for 15 weeks.

My lab results where as follows:
S-17b-Eastrodiol(E2). 104pmo1/l
Testosterone (total). 23.5nmo1/l
SHBG 60.2nmo1/l
Free Testosterone. 345pmo1/l
FSH. 4.0
LH. 3.5

What are lab ranges?
Based on my labs ranges your E2 is very high, just under the upper limit and your SHBG is also very high and is infact slightly over the upper limit.

The ranges for E2 is <192
For total test it's 8.0-30nmo1/l
For SHBG is 18.3-54.1nno1/l
Free test. 180-739pmo1/l
FSH. 1.5-12.4u/l
LH. 1.7-8.6u/l

I didn't pick up estrogen was an issue because it was below range.

What is SHBG it's abit worrying that's above the limit.

I googled it mabe I should consult a doctor about this. It's sex hormone and apparently could be a sign of liver disease. Which is crazy because I lead a fairly healthy lifestyle.

Ya I know the perils of googling symptoms... I Called an endocrinologist and they fucking pricey, wondering if I should consult a gp or just go straight to the specialist.

Aparently SHBG in that range is not such a big deal but still I'm going to consult a doctor.

Please go see an endo. It's like chalk and cheese. If I had known what sort of wealth of information they held I would have done it many years earlier. I have friends who chose the GP route and they pickup 1 issue and its bloods and some meds, then you push and they pickup something else and before you know they way out of their league and you have paid a small fortune and waisted so much of your time. This is purely based on the circle of people I have been exposed to, maybe your situation is different and you do run past a GP who really knows their stuff.

Did you get your DHEAS tested? Also are you vegetarian or vegan by any chance?

I went to an endocrinologist. He doesn't think my SHBG is that high. It's out of range yes but he said it's only an issue if my free test is low. Free test is a calculated number based on total test and shbg. So the fact that my free test is still within range the shbg is not an issue of concern. He did advise against using steroids, but he doesn't think this is a result directly of my steroid use as my last cycle was over a year ago. He said mabe my SHBG is high because mabe it is being created to shuttle away excess estrogen or something he said I should check my thyroid and liver which both came back fine. So yeah I'm fine.

Do you feel fine? That’s really the important question. Keeping the weight off, libido good, motivation to train and general energy good?

Yes I feel fine. Labido fine, training is fine. No symptoms or anything. Was just something I picked up when doing bloodwork.
