Gw-501516, Crossfit and endurance. was created by Witwolf
I started Crossfit around 3 months ago. I realized how unfit I was playing some touchies with a bunch of kids. I've always focused on hypertrophy and bodybuilding style training but have been, over the past year or two, losing interest in the aforementioned. Thus I got dragged to a class and am basically hooked.

I was always very anti-crossfit but am honestly very happy to have joined our local box.

In any case, my endurance is up to shit. I'm ok with weights but with most METCONs I struggle to make it through the workouts since I'm heaving my lungs out. I did an experiment with GW-501516 for around 4 weeks and the results were insane.

I tried Cardarine back in my bodybuilding days but I never really did any workouts that would show its true benefit. Using it with Crossfit, I understand now why it's called 'exercise in a bottle'. The difference is immense, almost ridiculous. I can compete with the best in the class (to an extent) whilst on Cardarine, off Cardarine I'm a beginner who's still learning not to puke his lungs out and pace himself.

Now my questions are:

1. When is it a good idea to start using things like Cardarine and SARMs to up your performance? It feels like I need to build a good foundation first before jumping on any peptides, however, it's frustrating as fuck how slow progression is.

2. With Cardarine, does one keep the "endurance gainz" when off it? I know this is a noob-ish question, one always loses the benefit a peptide provides when stopping usage, but I'm certain it can help with VO2-max, etc? Some input on this would be appreciated.

Hey buddy, I found myself in a similar experience with crossfire where my wife was laughing at me.

I also tried the cardarine and experienced the increase in performance but about 2 weeks off could feel that I went down a notch in terms of performance.

My personal opinion is that cardarine is fine and will definitely help up your fitness quicker. However I've resorted to getting my fitness levels up without any compounds as I feel I should be fit enough to be above average without any peds. Once I use it will be purely to get the upper hand of a level which I'm struggling to get to not because I'm unfit, but because the guys above me are just super fit (or using something themselves).

In short I think it's a personal choice and don't see anything wrong with using on and off cycles to get you "above average" quicker. However I do feel that if you plan to compete then I'd wait so that my body does not get used to the compound to an extent that I no longer see a huge benefit while using.

Thanks, bud.

Kind of the same train of thought that I have. I will be doing the Open and it's crossed my mind to take Cardarine during this time. However, I've decided against it as I'd really like to try and push myself physically and mentally so I have a baseline to work from. One of the nicest experiences I had this year was competing in a local competition and just surpassing every single limit I had placed on myself. I am hoping the competitive nature of the Open will recreate that, and I'd like to do that naturally.

Honestly, I would like to cycle some SARMs (LGD comes to mind) during my training but I've been losing quite a bit of hair recently and would like to hang onto it for a few more years. LGD, if I remember correctly, made me shed like an Alsation during summer.
