TRT Friendly Doctors was created by _M_i_c_h_a_e_l_
Hi everyone,

Firstly, I am not expecting anybody to post Doctors' details on this thread. I am aware that they wouldn't necessarily want their name popping up on a steroids friendly forum.

Now on to my post.

I am 28 years old, have been exercising since 25 (Although it doesn't quite look like it). I am pretty serious about it and have not just been messing around (use progressive overload, log my training religiously and rarely misses a workout). I eat a relatively clean diet.

For the past two years, I have been feeling down, total lack of energy and motivation (even with stuff that I used to enjoy like exercising), lack of libido and mild depression.

It got a bit worse this past year so I went to my primary family doctor. He recommended I try a few different stuff, like exercise (Already been doing that), more sleep, try do avoid caffeine (nervous system overload) etc.

I did all the recommended stuff, with no real change.

I did my own research and came across low testosterone.

I asked my doctor if it might be that? and whether we can test for it? He said it's unlikely because of my age.

I went ahead and did the test myself and got the following results:

S-Albumin (BCG)48g/L (Reference range 35 - 50)
S-17b-Oestradiol (E2)<48 pmol/L (Ref range 40 - 161)
Testosterone (Total)9.9 nmol/L
Ref Range
>12 nmol/L probably does not require therapy
<8 nmol/L may benefit from testosterone therapy
8-12 nmol/L If symptomatic and supported by a decreased
calculated free testosterone level, may benefit from testosterone therapy
Sex Hormone Binding Globulin26.60 nmol/L (Ref Range 11.1 - 78.1
Free Testosterone219 pmol/L (Ref Range 180 - 739)
In men free testosterone below 180 pmol/L indicate
hypogonadism and testosterone supplementation may be
appropriate after exclusion of alternative causes. Free
testosterone above 250 pmol/L is commonly regarded as
normal. Free testosterone values between 180 and 250 pmol/L
may provide supportive evidence for treatment dependent on
clinical symptoms.
S-FOLLITROPIN (FSH)4.5 U/L
FSH REFERENCE RANGE :
ADULT MALE.(13 - 70 YRS)......... 1.0 - 12.0 U/L
S-LUTROPIN (LH)2.2 U/L
LH REFERENCE RANGE ADULT MALES (20 - 70 YRS)....... 1.8 - 8.2 U/L
PROLACTIN-S7.8 ug/L (Ref Range 3.6 - 18.1)

My Doctor then said the TRT is not worth the risk.

According to my interpretation, I suffer from secondary hypogonadism. (Do you guys agree?)

Since my test, I have tried a few different ways of naturally (lol) increasing my testosterone. Supplementing with Vitamin D3 5000ui a day, Omega 3, Magnesium, Zinc. Getting between 7 and 8 hours of sleep a day, training like usual, but also adding 5km runs in the mornings for cardio (Keeping my circulation in order) I am 193cm tall and weigh 97 kilograms. My estimated bodyfat is between 15-18% (I don't think my low t is weight-related)

I still feel like (to put it bluntly) shit. Still no motivation, still lack of libido, I have to use all my willpower to wake up in the mornings and go exercise. And the depression feels worse now.

I haven't tested it again, but the symptoms are still there (Meaning I don't really care that much about chasing numbers, I just want release from my symptoms).

Now that you know my back story, is there someone who can private message me an endocrinologist or doctor who might be willing to help me? One who is TRT friendly.

Otherwise, I might have to go the underground labs route, and although not optimal, still better than living with low t.

Do you guys have any advice for me?

(Also, I would like to thank Mfezdro and 00pump for all the info they have posted about TRT on the forum)

Can't pm on the forum

It's a hit and miss with doctors. Ask around at gym as well. I came round a doc once and was upfront and he helped with few things

But pgw route would work easy, monitor yourself and post bloods here as you go

Guys here are very informed and can surely guide you

Read article part 1 and 2

www.agelessforever.net/anti-aging-news-b...f-both-worlds-part-1

That might help you get a better understanding of things. And it shows bloods that you can use a SERM with a great chance of success.

I think your Dr is being a little dramatic. However if you do go this route and go on TRT it just means lots of regular bloods, and I wouldn't advise a GP to be running with this. I've been very surprised at how my endo test varies bloods at different months into it.

You didn't by any chance check DHEA? Those bloods do show a good chance at going up with the help of one or two different different drugs. I'm surprised how low your estrogen is.

Off topic are you overweight? Have you done fasted insulin? If not maybe you can phone up the lab before they destroy your blood and ask for DHEA and Insulin (if you did the bloods fasted), not really worried about glucose.

Thank you for the link 00pump, it was very informative.

Am I right in understanding that I might benefit from Clomid, before TRT might be an option?

I did the test last year, I will give the lab a call on Monday and hear if they might still have my blood available, but I doubt it.

I was planning on going for another test in March to see how the lifestyle choices I implemented affected my levels.

I will then test for DHEA and insulin as well. Anything else I should include?

Is my estrogen a problem if it's so low? I am not doing anything specific to lower it.

I am not really overweight, I would say. I am 193cm tall and weigh 97kg. If it was up to me, I would like to weigh around 90kg. At my current weight, my grandmother says I am skinny and should eat more (although I can probably weigh 150kg and she would still say I am skinny)

So what would you suggest is the course of action? Continue as now, try to lose weight, keep on supplementing with Vitamin D3, etc until my next blood test? Or should I try some clomid, and then do bloods again?

If you low in vitamin d you most probably have to supplement it going forward. I take it 3 times a week.

Your bloods will long be gone, don't even bother calling. Mayne an updated set of bloods to see where you at, but you need to decide if you want to self medicate or have a Dr run with it.

That article was around clomid, but tamoxifen is perfect, you may just need to run it for a bit of time (2 or 3 months).

The decision is purely up to you on how you want to go forward with things. Not being on TRT does make life a little easier, keep that in mind.
