fuck me that is rough training a PPL U L split 5 days straight. i would split those days up. my recovery has been hard pressed on doing 2 days on 1 day off, let alone 5 days straight.

Day 2: Arms
Day 3: Back
Day 4: Legs
Repeat
I add interval training 3 times a week and 2 low distance (5km) runs twice a week.
I rest when I either cannot get to a session or I am feeling a bit flat.
Currently on 140mg test e per week.

Are you making progress with your current training program? More recovery time is often the secret to making better gains.

Yes, making great progress.
I usually do my current program about twice a year for 6-8 weeks max. Throughout the year I'm usually on a moderate volume upper/lower split with ample rest etc.
Admittedly, I do miss the typical 'bro-split'. There's so much debate with regards to training splits, especially around frequency, at the end of the day the best split is the one you adhere to and enjoy most I guess.

I've recently noticed that my progress has been slowing down even-though my diet is better than ever, so I'm switching my training program a little and adding more recovery time as I've been training pretty hard since the holidays.

Tues : Chest, shoulders,triceps
Wed : Quads,calves + 1 hamstring exercise
Thurs : Back and biceps
Friday : Hamstrings,calves + leg extensions
Saturday : Arms and shoulders + 1 chest exercise
Sunday : rest
too many rest days makes me lazier and weaker.. I take an extra day off if I feel too fatigued
