Nolva CAUSING Gyno?? was created by PumpSeeker
Hey guys,

Hope you're good. Just a quick question on Nolva... I started getting very sensitive/sore nipples around 2 or 3 days after starting Nolva. I've read that Nolva CAN be an estrogen agonist in some scenarios... just wondering if it's possible it can actually cause gyno/sensitivity? I'm gonna stop the nolva for a few days and see of there's a change.

Cheers

What else are you taking and how long have you been taking it, what got you onto the Nolva? Nolva and Clomid both bind to the ER but can increase estrogens in other parts of the body.

Started Nolva after Clomid, as I saw it as "standard procedure" for PCT... but I think I'll avoid Nolva, like admin, going forward.

My nips feel WAY better today. I was considering just micro-dosing arimidex in place of nolva going forward. I know they're different pathways and adex is stronger. I'm talking like 0.1mg twice a week... hopefully that wouldn't completely crash my e2?

Were you on Adex prior to the Nolva and lowered / stopped the dose, this would have caused a rebound in estrogen. Also the clomid could have been the issue and you picked it up when you started the Nolva, it's difficult to know for certain with so many meds in play.

You can't micro dose adex in place of Nolva, they work completely differently. If you going to use Arimidex you will need to run bloods through PCT and make sure E2 is on the very low side of 'normal' / 69 to 72 pmol/L.

Wouldn't have been from a rebound coming off clomid as there was a slight delay between clomid & nolva. Seems too coincidental that the sensitivity started in unison with the introduction of nolva and now that I've removed it, the sensitivity is weaning.

Moving forward bloods would be ideal to see where E2 is... would you say it would be sufficient to run an AI in PCT for say 2 weeks... super low dose and see. Anyone got experience using AIs instead of nolva?

Not at a super low dose, a dose the bloods show low but not non existent e2. Yes I have a allot of experience with an AI instead of a SERM. However it went hand in hand with HCG.

The rebound I was asking relating to Adex, did you run it and then stop it before the clomid.

I certainly wouldn't rule out Nolva, I find it and interesting drug, I find initial puffiness and then after months on it all things are fine.

No I literally used x2 adex tabs for my entire cycle... and it wasn't close to clomid use... quite purculiar. Would you ever think proviron is an option? From what I read it isn't really suppressive and may help to ease out from PCT.

No, no place, the only time you use proviron is if you taking FSH injections, but that route is going to cost you 8k+ a month
