Semaglutide or Tirzepatide was created by Antanya#8
Hi I am about to start my GLP 1 journey. Can anyone advise which is a better option to start with between semaglutide or tirzepatide and would it be beneficial to start semaglutide in combination with cagrilintide?

If your issue is straight hunger, then semaglutide is the better one to start with. If you have a more emotional connection with food and cravings in that regard, trizepatide is the better one to go with. Sema is by far the strongest one from a pure appetite suppresion, Trizepatide about 60% of that.

If you’re already lean & muscular & around 10-15% body fat with solid discipline around diet & training, then I would suggest Retatrutide at 1-2mg per week.

Emphasis on discipline around diet though. If you have a lot of food noise etc, then yes I agree with Empire’s recommendation.

I personally use Reta at 1mg per week, but I’m peeled with solid muscle definition at around 10% BF. I started the Reta journey already disciplined with diet & already on Test Cyp, Primo & GH.

How have your bloods responded to Reta?

I've been disciplined with eating and have been back at gym consistently.

I have got MASLD (because I chose a career of sitting in a chair for 10+ hours a day and fell completely off the bus during covid and birth of our son) and I've seen some reports of it helping with the liver issues... but also other people saying "not good".

With rapid fat loss from reta, you can get liver dysfunction, as the liver has to assit with the processing of all the fats. Also bile flow can slow down and if there is not enough bile or enough flow of bile, you can have accumulation of cholesterol in the body which can form gall stones. Liver care and bile care are vital on glp meds.

Also improving bile flow will help with pooping at least once a day, which means your estrogen detox path way is moving, taking care of the liver will also support the second estrogen clearance pathway which is throuh the liver.

From what I’ve seen, semaglutide is the cleaner starting point. More predictable appetite control, easier to dial in. Tirzepatide is stronger but can be a bit much early on. I’d only consider stacking with cagrilintide if sema alone feels too weak
