Hormone replacement therapy for men

I need some help with something. I am 35 years old and recently I have been feeling like crap. I thought I was depressed (no idea why) so I went off to the doc. A few tests later he diagnosed me with low testosterone.

He kind of told me, that is life don't worry just live your life like you used to. I thought to hell with that and started researching on the net. I came across HRT for men. Essentially you substitute your own low T with exogenous T. In most cases they have creams etc. you can rub on.

My research led me to believe, 100mg per week of test administered via syringe is the way to go. Looking it up it seems that is the protocol that is being used. Now I am no expert and my research has barely scratched the surface.

Looking on www.tmuscle.com , in their steroid board, I came across a guy called prisoner that has a taper protocol for coming off AAS. Anyway he stated that 100mg per week and some nolva will keep your HCG axis functioning at optimal.

So my question, because my T is low, by adding only the little I need to be normal\ high normal it should not affect my testicles etc. Right???

Then I suppose I would need to decide on the right test esther to inject. I see people that do this are into sustanon (sp?) as the weekly injections of that particular esther, is longer lasting.

Sorry for the length of this post. I know this is not steroid related in the sense that I am not looking to get big. I just want to be at normal levels so I can feel better.

Any input those in the know can give me would be great.

What did you doc say after he saw the results ?
I've read where guys with low test levels get prescribed test by the doctor ???

It seems doctors overseas are a lot more open to low test as a medical condition. I know in most cases doctors know what they are talking about, but guys on this board have actually used stuff and I value experience over just pure book learning.

I want to find out as much as I can and then perhaps approach a more sympathetic doctor.

Yes I thought at 35 I was too old for playstation but man its just way too much fun. I think men never grow up, at least I hope not!!

100mg test a week would help alot, but i dont think its a long term solution for you... I dont think its advisable to take test for more then 10 weeks at a time, if even that!
Test will affect your testicales, as now your body does not need to produce testosterone, if you are injecting your body with it!
Clomid might help... Or yes, nolvadex should also help. As these both raise your body to its natural test levels...
I think with something like this, Admin needs to advise, as he would probably have the answers for you!

PS3 I still want one but dont know if its worth it!!!

What is the exact term of you medical condition. I know of a guy who suffers from something that requires alot of test.

I blood tests as well as a spit test and was diagnosed with low T. I spoke with the dr and he claimed there are people that have been on the protocol I am suggesting for years. He is just old school and does not believe that low test can affect a person.

I have read extensively on the subject and there seems to be evidence that low test can in fact cause issues. Men need test, fact. So I want to supplement but need all the info I can get. Who better to ask then a bunch of guys that use the stuff and know what they are talking about.

BTW, ps3 is totally worth it.

I would take Sus at low dosages for the first couple of months to see if it works.

Take on ampoule and divide it in two. 125mg every week and see how you feel.

From there you can lower or increase the dosage accordingly

For replacement therapy it is best to stick to single long acting esters. Blends are not the best choice for this application. Cypionate or Enanthate are about the most popular.

Its VERY strange that your doc and im guessing by doc you mean you went to a gp did not send you to a hormone specialist. There are MANY options for you but i really dont think you should be looking for them here unless someone here is a doctor to give that kind of advice. There is a few excellent specialist in jburg not sure about other places but if i was you id get myself good medical aid and ask your gp to send you to a specialist cause "just live the way you do" is a bullshit answer from a doctor to be quite honest. Low test is not just a mood problem there are many many other problems that you will have in life from low test levels. And also is this not affecting your sex life? I really dont think you should just start taking anything without proper medical advice.

I suffered from something for 7 years (actually most my life) and I only got the right answer 2 days ago. Worst thing was that I was not even aware of it till beginning of this year. Went on more than one wild goose chase but now I'm fine cause I found a doc who lives with his eyes open.

Thanks for the answers so far. I am most definitely going to go and see a proper doctor on the subject but need to walk in there informed. This may shock you but doctors do not know everything.

When I was still fighting, if I had taken some of the advice they gave me, my carreer would have been over a long time before it was. As I mentioned guys that are using test most likely know more about it than what a doctor read in a book. There are some switched on docs out there and I will find one but as mentioned I want to walk in there with solid info.

I am reading here and another yank board more specific to HRT. Almost all the guys on the HRT board have told me to find BB guys that know their stuff purely because the information is real world and usually very accurate. I lurked here for a while before I posted and there are some really knowledgeable people on here.

Thanks again for the information you guys have already shared. I will not put a needle near me until I am satisfied I have done my homework. If I can get a doc that knows that he is doing to help me, all the better.

Then, i have been trying to get the stuff on script but no luck - them knackers seem to be firing just great.

I asked a Q on the AntiAging forum at health24 about going on TRT/HGH supplementation and got a number.

There are some ways to get the knacks to work without just jumping into TRT.

Why not do Doctari's PCT and see what happens to your levels?

X2 TRT should be your last option after trying every other avenue.

Most doctors don't know jack shit about steroids and proper HRT.

I would DEFINITELY go and see a specialist. Your whole quality of life will depend on it, so it would be crazy not see someone who actually knows what they are talking about.

They will be able to advise you on proper PCT for the dosage they will administer.

Prisoners protocol of stasis/taper on the T Nation site will not be right for you on such low doses of Test, I am sure.

Don't mess with this, go and see an expert IMO.
