Finasteride (Propecia/Finpecia/Proscar)

I suffer from hair loss when on cycle and have been reluctant to use finasteride (propecia/finpecia) to prevent hairloss after reading MANY horror stories from guys who have used it for as little as 1mg/day for a month and then find that their libido is still gone 6-12 months later and that they have erectile disfunction and emotional issues. It works wonders for some but some men even after a year do not get sexually aroused at all and experience shrikage of their penis. This is obviously a small minority of people but it is a reality for many. Bodybuilders often do not realise that these sides are caused by their use of finasteride and blame the steroids they have been taking. Has anybody here experienced long term sides from this drug?

Would never have thought that it caused 'shrinkage' Dont see how that is possible. But then again, Im no science boff.
I used 2mg/day while on cycle, and as far as I can remember, all was good in that department. But maybe for others it might be an issue.
Personally, I would be way more worried about losing hair. And you should too as you have already stated you start shedding. Unless you look ok with a shaved head?

In any case, rather use a topical lotion/spray with the active ingredient MINOXIDIL in it. I used a product called ReGain (I think) which was the 2% strengh. Apparently you can get a 5% too. I would highly recommend that one rather. If you are really worried, there are also Minoxidil based shapoo's & conditioners obtainable over local internet sites.

There's also a list of side effects of minoxidil, should you be concerned about that. (Although I havent much bothered to read them)

oh ya, try stay off the HIGHLY ANDROGENIC AAS.
