letrozole vs anastrozole

Firstly, I have been reading and talking to people about using arimidex (anastrozole) during cycles and the benefits it gives in terms of preventing test to estrogen conversion.

Now the problem i have is that arimidex is bloody expensive and I wana know if there is a generic version or if letrozole can be used as a replacement (does the same things as arimidex)??
