i only run long cycles , 6-9 months , i like consistant gains that it brings , it peaks and troughs , i add and subtract compounds as i go, and allows me to bulk, see if i am gaining to much fat diet down a bit and carry on. but i am not in my twenties, have had my kids etc etc

I'm also quite convinced on longer cycles. You can start off with a lower drug intake and increase as time goes on and gains start to become less.

But estrogen and side effect management must be taken a lot more seriously with longer cycle as these as bound to happen.

I'm personally starting a 25 week cycle in May and if that goes well then that's the way forward for me from now on.

i say anything longer than 8 weeks is a long cycle, anything less is a short cycle, a good short cycle is this : all pgw injectables and LP orals :

Week 1-8
Test prop 100mg eod
Yohimbine based Fat burner daily
week 1-6
150mg masteron mix eod
150mg NPP eod

week 2-8
oral turanabol 60mg daily.
Week 1&2,5&6
Clenbutrol 80mcg for week 1&5 120mcg week 2&6.

Pct
week 9 - 12
50mg clomid
20mg kessar
500iu HCG eod.

You ask quite open ended questions hey: Ha Ha
Would have to say both. Use my short cycles generally for immediate strength gains- obviously compound wise you go for short esters.
Medium cycles 10-12 weeks generally my cutting cycles, combination of fast and medium estered gear.
Long cycles for lean mass/bulking kind of a short cycle frontload and long estered gear for the rest, 14-20 weeks.
Anyway those are the kind of structures i use. Agreed that provided the gear is correct they give you a more sustainable, natural, gradual type of gain which is what i iam for.
Peace

Some would say that a short cycle would consist of Test Prop 100mg EOD for just 4weeks and then Off for 4weeks and then back on for 4weeks and so on.....

Some say that you don't even need PCT when using fast acting esters for 4weeks.... Is I understand its because your system is not AS shut down with a long cycle.

Someone have any input?

bro i would always do a pct...so time on + pct = time off. so 4 week cycles means 6 weeks off...

I totaly agree with the "PCT a must"

I would also stick with the Long cycles and correct PCT but would one day try the short cycles and see how they work.

I was just wondering what the sciency bit is behind a short cycle and how/what/when your system would shut down... thus the need for PCT.

Anyone with a right mind would do alot of research on short/long cycles before jumping in.

I came across this and thought it might make an interesting topic.

I like short cycles-6 weekers
Just finished
Test prop 800mg per week weeks 1-6
NPP 500mg per week weeks 1-6
Dbol 50mg per day weeks 1-3
Winny 30mg per day weeks 5-6 (all I had left or would have gone to 50mg per day)
HCG 1,500iu per week weeks 2-3 and 7-8
T3 120mcg per day weeks 1-5
Clen 120mcg per day weeks 4-6
Letro 0.5mg EOD (estrogen sensitive)

PCT: HCG 1,500 weeks 7-8 as above and nolva 20mg per day weeks 7-11 with EFA's and vit c

Nice cycle, pity I wasn't on DJ's diet from the start, or would have been great cycle.

I love TestProp + NPP cycles. But they ALWAYS end up long. I start with a 8 week plan but when i get to week 7 it just really starts to get going. Before i know it i've ordered another batch.... and then another.

Think i'll throw in sone TBol next time.

Did you start off with 120mcg T3? No ramp up/down? The same with the Clen?
Hardcore.....?

No, ramped up and down, that was the max dose-not quite that hardcore :)
Also love prop and NPP.
My next plan is a 10 weeker, but 2 short cycles split in two-something like Test prop, NPP and perhaps winny for 5 weeks and then from week 5-10 test prop, tren ace and masteron or something like that.
