Anti-depression meds was created by phil
I used steriods about 14 years ago, only for a couple of cycles and have since just got lazy....I am currently on anti-depressants and finding that my body is not responding as i would like and am considering a course of steriods to get me through that wall. Can anyone suggest websites, books etc etc where i can learn more about the use of these together. Thanks

Hi Phil, I'm currently on anti-depressants and use steroids quite successfully with it.

What medication are you on? I'm not sure if the rules will allow us to talk about the product names but let's give it a bash anyway.

I have always read that you should never use both together? My friend is also on those meds & uses muti. It definitely effects him...in a bad way.

well I guess it all depends why you on the anti depressants.. I would fix what ever is causing that and get off them as soon as possible..

then go the natrual route... steroids can cause depression in some, well I don't feel its the steroids but rather the hormone imbalance.

Rule of thumb, don't stay on anti depressants for long, one shouldn't require a drug to feel normal or deal with life, rather deal with the problem... Our minds are strong and in all honesty that stuff is the devil. I have seen friends and family lifes ruied because of it.

If you would like a number for a natrual docotor who will be able to work with you and get you off the anti depressants and get your life back on track let me know.

My friend & his mother are permanently on dep meds as they have an chemical imbalance. For that reason people with the same issue should stay away from gear. I see this 1st hand with him when he is on gear...not a pretty sight.

Hi Karma
Thanks for your reply. I'm on Fluoxitine, Lamictin & Seroquel. I had a very rough patch about 3 years ago. I've been, mainly with the help of doc, reducing the dosage slowly but surely.

I had a rough patch 3 years ago but things have been going much better. My doc is obviously not keen to get me off the meds in a rush. My dosages have decreased a lot and i fee muchmore in control of things. Being active obviously helps and I probably should go the natural route...It is just so satisfying to see your body respond so incredibly when you use

Phil,
You propably don't want to hear this and you're correct when you're gonna say that I don't know you and your circumstances, but listen to a people doctor.(I know that I'm gonna get it from various angles)
Wake up one morning and tell yourself "There is fuckall wrong with me !!!".......and then throw all that shit meds in the toilet and flush it away. It's easy, I did it with smoking.....woke up one morning 17 years ago and told myself "stop smoking".......hasn't touched a smoke ever since.......Your mind is much stronger than any steroid can make you believe to be.(fookit did that make sense?)

If everybody does it, is it still cheating?

To give you some insight into why I use it together.

I'm going through some serious kak in my life and I'm currently on muti and dep meds. The reason for this is, is that the dep meds, well it helps with the depression and the steroids keeps my body at least not from going south but still it will be so great to sort out the shit and focus on my training with everything in me.

I agree with NB1 that you need to rise above your circumstances and create the opportunity to make you happy. The problem is that there's always a transition period to deal with.

Wouldnt the main concern here be the way you mentally react to "vitamins". . . if you know what I mean. If you are one of those guys that suffer from vitaminrage (which I think is a decision for some guys), then use with dep meds is a terrible idea. On the other hand "vitamins" can make you feel more confident (physically and mentally).

Concerning dep meds, have you consulted another doctor? My mother was also in that same boat. After having to go to a mental clinic for a month and LOTS of meds, she was still in the same spot. Until she saw 2 other doctors who had a different approach. . .

Hope all goes well for you man.

Hey guys, thanks for all your input! I think that I need to do much more research on the specifics of what I'm on and what I should take for my physical goals...You're comments are appreciated. I think I should maybe get off the meds first.. :weights

I agree with above posts, BUT NEVER EVER EVER JUST COME OFF ANTI D's... You can land up with severe anxiety and paranoia aswell as tripping believing things are happening when they not. Hence the reason I said work with a natrual doc to see if you are having some sort of imbalance and it might be something as small as supplementing with GABA or increase Omega intake, etc.

Please keep it real, and yes wake up in the morning and say 'Today is going to be a great day, repeat that over and over and your sub concious mind will filter that through and trust me you going to have a great day' However you need to believe what you say.

A person who is depressed slumps over, shoulders down and this sorry for himself attitude. change that, sit up straight, speak with confidence and take control and you will snap out of that state in no time.
