To add to the topic about painfull injections I would like to make the following comments and suggestions.

Guys...we spend huge amount of money on gear but some people neglect the essentials. Good quality gear gets manufactured under the stringest "clean" conditions in labs that are kept to international standards.

I have been utilising gear for the last six years and not once have I suffered from a infection or absess of any kind.....and believe me I have tested and tried some dodgy stuff in my time. Allow me to share with you my injection ritual and compare it with yours.

All my gear is kept cold in a refridgerator to minimise the build up of bacterial growth.

I wash my hands with a anti bacterial soap before I start. Doctors do so why shouldn't you.

I clean the rubber plunger on top of the vial with a alcohol swab.(Remember it's a breading ground for bacteria) you don't want to stick a needle through it and contaminate your fluid.

To draw I use a 21G 1 1/2inch needle, and I only use it once. Even if I draw 2 compounds into one syringe I replace the needle for the 2nd compound after I cleaned the plunger on that vial too.

Once I am ready for the injection I would use a 23G 1 1/4 or 1/ 1/2inch needle. It's a deep intra muscular injection and NOT a subcutaneus injection you are about to do. So use a loooong needle. It also helps with compound despersing in to the muscle fibre if you plant it deep. I also find that the after effects of potentially painfull injections are far less if this method is employed.

I prepare the skin by washing the site with a anti bacterial soap and then the injections site by rubbing a alcohol swab over it several times. Germs grow on you everyday and you take some with to the muscle when the needle goes through the skin. KEEP IT CLEAN.

After the whole pulling back on the plunger to see if no blood is sucked into the syringe thing and the injection is completed I apply some pressure on the site with a alcohol swab under my thumb...to keep the site free of any crap.

So for less than R10 a shot I've been infection and absess free for close to 7 years.

That's all fair and well having good preparation before injecting and I appreciate your insight, however it's a known fact that some brands of AAS have high Benzyl Alcohol (BA) content such as Nomad Lab. Good sanitary preparation is not going to stop injection pain if the BA content is high.

Pretty much what i do except - i draw with the same needle. I would need 5 needles just to load. Its a bit of an overkill IMO, but hey if it works for you great.

i don't think he aimed this at reducing injection pain, from my view it is about sanitation and preventing infection.

I agree with you 100%. My post is merely aimed at good sanitation and the probabal prevention of infections. Ive seen guys hitting with the same needle and using toilet paper afterwards....that's just reckless IMO.

Yeah, my bad. Thanks for the tips. We must never underestimate the importance of clean sanitation.
