Anti Depressants was created by BrickMan
I want to start my first cycle (im thinking sust). I have been on 10 mg Cipralex (known in the States as Lexapro)per day for about 5 years. It is an SSRI, or Serotonin Selective Re-Uptake inhibitor. I've heard many people say its ok to juice while on anti depressants, and just as many say that its incredibly dangerous.
Does anyone have any experience with this? or if not, do you know where i can find some reliable research?

Typed a long message but got logged out before I posted so I'm going for a summary:

- Try attract Doctari's attention, for an opinion.
- Most people report feeling good on Test (was apparently used as an anti-depressant once upon a time)
- Most people report being down/emotional at the end of a course due to hormone crash
- You will most likely suffer the previous two points (and in particular the second of the two points) just like everyone else so the issue becomes - do you suffer from suicidal tendencies when you get depressed? If so, I would suggest that taking steroids may be a bad idea.
- Certain sites on the web (especially the more medical ones) have detailed information regarding steroids and their contra-indications. It may be worth reviewing the steroids you are thinking of using with a view to eliminating those that are likely to cause you issues.

Hope this helps... :)

Thanks dude. I'm def not suicidal, and im not worried about mood swings etc. What i was most concerned about is any reaction that could cause permanent harm.
Health before growth ;)
Can you reccomend a good medical sight?
Will look out for Doctari.

I've spoken to doctari about this, because some Anti Depressants actually lower cortisol and it might be a good thing... some might make it higher and you'll find them usually to be S5 because they are very hard to quit and suicide usually becomes a problem in some individuals.

I don't have much problems after gear cycles, but Ephedrine is the satan at work. Ephedrine have given me really severe problems, ranging from kidney, prostate, emotional and liver issues, so avoid it when you are known for depression.

Typed a long message but then got timed out  - so in summary:

If you are going to come off the Cipralex at some point, I would wait till then before starting a course. Different people unfortunately suffer different effects when using the same drugs (hence the fact that I love Tren while others cannot get past the cough. I also love ephedrine but clearly Admin does not :) ). You can never be a 100% percent certain if the issue relates to your personal physiology or if it is a drug interaction that is triggering some other issue.

Oh yes... here are some sites you might be interested in:

and if you are suffering from ismonia, some reading on various studies:

To me this is very personal. After my last cycle ended in March 2008 I fell into deep depression and had to be treated for it. All I want to say this stuff can bite you bad but you can come off successfully. I thought I might just add my 5 cents.

from personal experience, being on cip and juice. It sucked my dep got worse, at the end i did the sensible thing and told my psychologist, had to go on some other stuff after that. To get to my point I would advise you to speak to your psychologist first before doing it.

vega5 and superbeast2 are making my point for me. When injecting steroids you are already messing with your bodies natural systems and adding any complications like other meds to the equation is - in my opinion - asking for trouble. I realise some would say injecting the steroids is asking for trouble

cipralex and cilift (spell) and prozac only keep ypur serotenone levels level or stable in ur brain, so when taking juice and clomid for that matter for pct, the antidepresants will keep levels stable, and cipralex i know can be used with any other drug with no interaction.
with a good antidepresant like cipralex, u will get a quality life,if u suffer from depresion, ul have a much better life on cipralex, and i does not inteact with any other drug. i dont know bout other antis.

Some good advice here in this thread...ill add my 2 cents. I did a cycle beginning 2008 and was on wellbutrin (not a strong anti), when i came off that cycle i crashed hard because my course of anti also finished and it took me 4 months to come right with more antidepressants. Just be careful going into it is all i can say, get as much info as possible.

I'm not questioning the purported function of cipralex. I understand that a seretonin inhibitor basically prevents the re-absorbtion of seretonin by the brains receptors, therefore resulting in improved mood. While cipralex may be a well tolerated product there really is no way to be certain that there wont be a comeback for Brickman. This is especially relevant in light of the fact that superbeast2 has indicated he had issues. Admin has also indicated issues (though not with steroids and possibly not while using cipralex).

...and (just saw it) I see IceT has also had issues (though not with cipralex).

Well, years ago, i used test cyp and valium, well, more like abused the stuff, was my 1st time using "good pharmacuticals" I was doin like 400/600mg cyp a week and popping like between 10 and 20valiums a day with red bull. Did that for like 2months and then my body shut down, i just got weak and couldnt move or do anything, my mum would have to help my get to the bathroom. I was in that state for at least a month, lost everything i gained with my training and more, took me 6months to recover from that and get back into training. So that was dumb me.

Haha....can you see the dilemna i'm faced with? so many different opinions. I wasnt expecting some sort of all-solving answer tho. Perhaps its different for everybody. Fact is Im only 19 so i have a few more years before i would hypothetically start juicing, but seeing as will probably use cipralex indefinitely, i'm starting my research as early as i can.

Appreciate all the feedback...keep it coming ;)
