Phosphatidyl Serine for Cortizol Suppression was created by chemical g
I am going to test a new product that is coming out shortly. Phosphatidyl Serine aka (PS) has been shown to significantly reduce (suppress) the destructive hormone cortizone. Unlike the pharmaceutical drug Aminoglutamide that is a cortizol blocker, preventing the body from manufacturing significant levels of cortizone which in turn is very dangerous. PS is perfectly safe and has many other interesting benefits on brain function. It is an expensive compound to use and its not as yet offered in the correct dosage for cortizol suppressing purposes. Apparently the correct dose is 500mg twice daily. I am going to test it on myself and one or two other athletes to see how it works over a 2 month period. It could be an interesting PCT compound. Those who can afford to use it daily I am sure it is capable of yielding even better results.

where are you getting your PS from that you are testing out? and what has it been extracted from?

Have used this on and off the last 12+ months. It is also known as one of the "smart drug" compounds - it assists in preventing memory loss and some even propose it to be an alternative treatment to Alzheimers. The dosages for preventing memory loss, ranges from 150-250mg per day, but it is a very effective cortisol suppressor at dosages of 800mg per day. At such high dosages, it is preferred not to be used longer than 4-6 weeks at a time - it's unsafe to permanently try and suppress cortisol levels. I always incorporate it as a standard in my PCT protocols at 800mg p day x 4 weeks.

Hi Doc, reading this made me wonder. Could it be high Cortizol levels causing some "dof" days?
I have these really great days when i can remember EVERYTHING and impress myself with some of the speaches i come up with, and then on other days the words/thoughts not arriving gets me frustrated.
Early signs of Alzheimers?
Or is this just something i have to get used to "post-40"

I have been on 1000mg split 500 & 500 mg a day for the past 9 days I havent been able to train properly but I can tell you I am under heavy pressure with work and I am definately less stressed under these circumstances and my memory is really sharp. Like doc said its classified as a smart drug so I have gone one step further and added in 2500mg acetyl L carnitine hcl and 2500mg arginine-L- Pyroglutamate daily and that has really boosted my brain. Those who are studying give those three compounds a try its REALLY worth it. I am sure throwing in some DMAE would be even more effective. I was planning on using it for 8 weeks but I will reduce it to 6 weeks as the Doc suggested.

chemical g, speaking of nootropics, have you used neptune krill oil?
my bottle i have from solal:
EPA 150mg (50%better bioavailability than regular fish oils)
DHA 90mg (50%better bioavailability than regular fish oils)
omega 6 40mg(very little but thats good)
Phospholipids
Phosphatidylcholine 320mg
Phosphatidylserine 8mg (almost nothing)
and a bunch of other stuff but not of interest here.
So what you think?
Any nootropic benefit?

This question is for DOCTARI.
Doc my father had a stroke about a year ago, thankfully it was in a portion of his brain that was not responsible for vital functions.
He is ok and to most seems completely normal however he has all the usual stroke symptoms, moody, forgetful, depression, etc
wOULD THIS COMPOUND BE SAFE TO USE FOR HIM?
He currently has treatment for high bp-ZIAK
RECEIVING meds for cholesterol -although never had a prob his is 4.3, but docs want to lower it to 2 just to be sure.
Was contemplating putting him on gh he is 69 and quite a strong bastard, most people think he is like 60.ALSO WOULD THIS COMPOUND IMPROVE HIS MEMORY?
Thanks for the input doc!
Regards MYO

Which brand do you buy ?
The Solal version is f@cking expensive R240 for 30 tablets of 100mg.
If you take the dose shown in studies to suppress cortisol (800mg), it would last three days (R1920/month).
