MIKE QUINN Cycle in the 80's was created by Snitch
Hi Guys..i read i thread on T-Nation where they interviewed Mike Quinn (Former BB Pro).

Think he competed in the 80's along side Shawn Ray,Lee Lebrada etc.

Anyways..he said his first few cycles only consisted of 100mg of test and deca a week with 3 D-Bols a day and 4 anavars. and he won his first show on this cycle..what you guys thyink of this cycle?

Why are we taking like 500mg and more when good gains can be made on a small dose as mentioned above, and the small dose is prob alot safer as well, less sides and less strain on the HPTA..??

Just wana hear some opinions here :) could be quite interesting :)

The average guy produces somewhere between 7mg of test a day. That's 45mg a week. 100mg a week is not a lot at all and the gains on that compared to 500mg a week... why would you not do 500mg a week. Its a small enough dose and sides aren't hectic.
Imo 100mg is a waist.

That cycle is probably true, because my uncle also competed in the 70's-80's and when they managed to get some AAS they also took it at insanely low doses that won't make sense to us these days.

The reason we are taking higher doses is because we are all girly men with fancy protein shakes. When you wanted a mass supplement those days you would use a juice blender to make a sheep testicle and colostrum shake.

thanks for making me squirt coffee out my nose mate!!!

But a truer word cannot be said, again, too much emphasis being placed on steroids as being the determining factor behind the physiques of guys such as quinn, gaspari, haney and predesseors such as zane. These guys invested so much in their training and their nutrition, that the added benefits they got of 100mg of test/week and 15mg dbol will be more than any of us will see from using 6 times such dosages. Also, at the time, ancillaries such as anti-estrogens were pratically non-existent and, as such, these guys needed to be much more conservative in their dosages.

i still believe that current dosages we are using in this day and age is unnecessarily high, particularity if we not competitive bodybuilders, as there is belief that juice, and not hard work, is what will define the perfect physique.
