Cutting cycles are they worth it ? was created by G-man
Good day Gents.
Its been a while since I posted so here it goes.Just curious how some guys feel about cutting cycles;now obviously it has its pros n cons.Being on juice while on a calorie defecit obviously could benefit the user by preserving lean tissue, keeping strength up and calorie partitioning. Then on the flipside of the coin is it worth messing around with your hormones just to get leaner .I've read a lot of mixed reviews on the topic so curious what the guys have to say about it on this forum.
Looking forward to your replies
Cheers

Absolutely dependant on your reason. It's going to give you a peak period, but after that it'll suck.
If it's for an event, or a certain time frame, would work well for sure. Long term, probably not such a good idea.

I think it's dependent on your goals. If you a competitor then it is a must. Although if your goal is just to be HUGE and not worry about fat and water retention then it's not worth it. I personally like to keep my BF% at around 10-14, it's not so hard to maintain. Worst thing though when cutting is losing some of your hard earned muscle mass.
I gotta say though I rather be lean .You look way better when you are lean then fat and puffy(well that's me). so I say Ja they are worth it. Just my opinion.

I agree with Furk, You need to ask yourself what your main goal is and what you want to look like.
For me personally i want to look Shredded and Ripped. So i guess im going to have to follow one in the future. Just remember you messing with your hormones either way? So it goes back to me saying you need to know what look you want to achieve in the end.

Maintaining 10% is not hard.

Agree with this, I see no need for 'cutting cycles' if you don't compete, it's Expensive to do right, and maintaining a very low bf is just not fun in general for you or your loved ones.
With a clean diet and simple stacks you can be lean year round and still look good.
