FIRST CYCLE ADVICE - OVER 40 years

Hi Guys,

Thanks for a great site, and for all the knowledge on here. I'm researching for my first cycle, and so your advice is appreciated as part of that. (*puts on flimsy flame-proof suit)

Stats:
Age: 43
Weight: 75kgs
Bodyfat: around 13-15%

I'm looking at the following possible options:

1. Test Cyp only. (250mg @ 2 x per week / 12 weeks).

PCT:
36 days after last pin.
Would you recommend PCT 1 or 2 for this?
Arimidex or Aromasin on hand for Gyno.


2. Test cyp & D/Bol - according to the example given on PCT 1 article (Week 1-4 Dianabol 30mg / week 1-8 test cyp 250-350mg per week).
Although using an oral as well, the idea of a shorter cycle around work commitments is appealing.

PCT:
36 days after last pin.
Obviously this was attached to PCT 1 - is this still the recommendation? Or is HCG recommended as well?

3. And not sure about this one: Test Cyp and Anavar?

I'm not a big guy, and so although I want to put on some size and muscle, was just thinking to work with what I have and go for a look more like the smaller fitness athletes (not that i look like one!!).I'm never going to be a mass monster! Does that make sense? Would also like to keep water and bloat down as much as possible.

Where I've noticed most different opinions is on PCT, and what is needed as an AI; HCG or not, when to take etc. I reckon PCT is so key, that I want to be as well prepared as possible.

Also, any specific recommendations for guys over 40? Anyone over this age who can give some helpful advice?

2) To short, you will need to use prop instead.

3) No reason to add Anavar to your first cycle.

Look at 1 with PCT 3, the older you are the harder the recovery.

With regards to the anavar, there is no reason you shouldn't add it to your cycle though so if you have the money for it then I would recommend running it alongside the test. It's a nice addition to a cycle and won't throw in a bunch of side effects.

So what I'd need for the cycle is the following for 12 weeks.

2x PGW Testocyp (250mg x 10ml).

PCT:
NO 3:

You will need the following: 15x Clomid 50mg, 1x HCG 5000, 30x Aromosin 20mg, 30x Nolvadex 20mg

Instructions:
Day 1-7: - Clomiphene citrate is used as 50 mg twice daily for full 7 days.
Day 8-37: - Tamoxifene citrate at 20mg per day for full 30 days. - Exemestane at 20mg per day for full 30 days. HCG 5000 comes in one unit vial, multi-dosed, at 5000IU. The vial is accompanied by 2ml sterile water for mixing. This is what should be done. Draw up the 2ml ampule provided with the HCG and mix it into the powdered bottle. The HCG is now used from day 8 onwards as 0.2ml drawn into insulin needle once per day. It is then used one day on, one day off.

1. Question: If there are signs of gyno, what is the protocol to follow? Start taking Aromasin? How much and for how long?

If that happens, would I still take Aromasin as suggested after the cycle for PCT. So should I get a bit extra in case this happens?

2. You mention the insulin needle for HCG - so would I get one of those for that? Is it administered in a different way to the test cyp? Where do I pin it?

1: Go back to the PCT article and have a look at the table for PCT 3, because it shows you how and when to use what.

Why don't you just run Aromasin throughout your cycle? Starting with Aro around week 4?

Okay thanks. So if I start using it at week 4, how long do I continue taking it. Right through? Recommended PCT 3 says from day 8 of PCT.

And just to confirm, I will wait 36 days after my last pin to start PCT.

Yes but use your Anavar as bridge. Calculate your cycle so that you get 8 weeks @ 60mg Avanar and stop 2 days before your pct starts.

Run the aromasin throughout right up till pct.

Start Aromasin week 4. And run it from week 4 right to THE END of suggested PCT 3?

So having the Aromasin in there early will negate possible gyro issues, correct?

Also, if I did decide to only run test cyp for 12 weeks (no anavar), would you also recommend running Aromasin from week 4 till end of PCT?

Because its your first cycle, i wouldn't add anything yet.. but i will buy and keep the Aromasin on hand.

Reason being, is see if your gyno sensitive before you start blocking receptors.

If you're an older dude (like me), it pays to be safe. Estrogen related sides can manifest themselves beyond gyno - waiting for your nips to itch while your blood pressure goes through the roof is something I try to avoid So I'd have bloods done 4-5 weeks into cycle - just test and E2 will probably do. It's the most accurate measure of your sensitivity I can think of, and if you're using legit gear like PGW, it will also be a handy baseline for future reference.

On a similar note, you shouldn't cut corners when it comes to AIs. Aromasin is a lot gentler on your lipids, and you're unlikely to need to run it into PCT because there's no risk of rebound.

Just want to check something as the advice I've gotten differs.

It was recommended to only use Aromasin as part of PCT. Are you saying to use it during cycle and not as part of PCT? When would you start and stop?

There is no hard and fast rule. We all react differently to exogenous hormones. You may well be fine without an AI during your cycle considering the dose, but if you decide to do bloodwork and it reveals excessive E2, or you experience sides, start the aromasin. Read the Anti-Estrogen articles on the top of this page to understand why it is relevant.

Your estrogen levels will rise as your test does, which is normal. Suppressing it needlessly will be counter-productive, but you should not allow it to blow out beyond reason. If you intend to monitor it based on your nipples, also have your BP checked at Dischem every few weeks.

Your pinning schedule is ? 2.5ml monday / thursdays ?

I was looking to do 1ml Monday and Thursday. Will that be okay or is it best to increase?

the dosage you want to take is not going to do that much for you, hence oupa's recommendation.

i am pretty sure oupa would recommend that dosage though.
