Cycle for someone competing - opinions? was created by PsyCLown
Hey all,

So this is more so just for interest sake and to get the opinion of others who are a lot more knowledgeable than I am.

My gym buddies one friend competes, so he was speaking to his friend who competes and asked him about what he runs and such and when I heard what his coach tells him to do I was shocked and to me it sounds silly.

So it is basically a cruise & blast, he mentioned something about only coming off after comps, so November sometime. Not sure when he starts again though.
Regardless it is a 5 week cruise, then a 5 week blast. To me this sounds really silly - why only 5 weeks? He runs Sustanon and Tren during the 5 week blast, then a low dose of Sustanon for the 5 week cruise. Closer to the time he adds Deca to his blast so it then becomes Sust, Deca and Tren blast, and still the normal Sust cruise.

He now plans on doing insulin as well, apparently his coach really knows what he is doing.

I am not sure what ester he runs for the Tren and Deca and how frequently he pins but surely it will take around 2 weeks for it to be in full swing if he runs Tren Ace & NPP which are the shorter esters? Meaning it is only in full swing for 3 weeks before coming off and then jumping back on.

From my limited knowldge I would run the blast for a bit longer and the cruise for a bit longer as well. I'd imagine that to have better results?

What are your opinions?

I'd advise him to join the board and ask his own questions so he could be advised in the best possible way, without relayed information and then further relayed information back here.

I am not asking anything on his behalf, I do not even speak to him. Not looking for advice to share with him.

I was just curious what other thought about a 5 week cruise / 5 week blast. How much you would actually get out of a 5 week blast. If he is running long ester versions of Tren and Deca then I really feel it is a lot of yo-yo-ing with the levels as it will take just short of 5 week for it to be in full swing in his body anyways?

I am just looking for others opinions for interest and my own knowledge sake. To me, from what I currently know, a 5 week blast is a bit short and I doubt it will yield the best gains.

It can be done if he is using short fast acting esters some guys make good progress on 6 weekers.

It is on you. It always has been...

Pre-contest cycles are generally shorter. It's not aimed at adding mass, but rather to get as ripped as possible. Agree that Sust, Tren with deca for a few weeks sound a bit wobbly, but some guys have absolutely crazy cycles - I know a few dudes who swear by running DNP pre-blast (apparently it clears their receptors) and then go several grams each of multiple compounds for a short period.

From what I have heard and how I understand it is that he does this basically throughout the entire year.

That sounds really weird and several grams of each compound is stupidly high. :S
To me it seems as if they are misinformed and so are their coaches - a lot of bro science.

The thing is, the guy who is doing all of this and competing does not even look that big. I have seen some pictures of him and with a shirt on he is even less impressive. Just his arms which stand out when he wears a shirt and I have seen guys in my gym who do no compete who have better looking arms as well. lol

It sounds pretty retarded if you ask me. Then again not everyone is cut out to be a bodybuilder. Look at Bostin Loyd, he is tiny and will never make it as a bodybuilder, yet he takes more gear than the top 5 guys standing on Mr O stage put together.

I also do not believe in bouncing your hormones all over the show like that. And everyone's bodies need a break or by luck you make 40 without some severe health issues of some kind.
