Went straight to the spank bank
Obelix has been working his ass off, and we speak on the daily with updates and questions and feedback. The strength increase has been great, his dedication is good and this week we start with skiploads to keep his metabolism firing on all cylinders.
We haven't seen much of a Weight drop since we pulled calories down, but that is due to the fact that we have a trt dose of test going on which resulted in a small spokenin blood pressure due to some water retention issues. Easy fix. We have also got the mindset going muscle building and strength gain is the main port of call vs just out and out "weight" loss. And as you've seen, the compliments he has been getting is driving the process and I like the fact he is driven to get new personal best goals with his training which is going to result in way more muscle and better body composition than just weight loss alone.
Keep it up obelix, I'm proud of what we have achieved so far and it's going to keep going.

So far 2.5kgs down.
Let's do this!
Ninja turtle man, Hows the progress?
From my side, Started a lower calorie week now. Last week was also lower but we are still finding the right balance. Feeling good easing into it.
Main concerns are finding the right foods to meet the macros. Ending up chucking some (Small amounts) chicken breast into a fried egg on toast to get protein etc. But keeping to what I have been given.
Overall feeling good. Last week I had a small injury with my bicep. this week shes all good and accepting the heavy weights I chucked at her.
I cant believe how long i was cocking about, not noting my weights and just going to gym, because I could. For the last 3 weeks I have been increasing big time. Getting more positive again and also getting ready to break the 185 mark, only a few grams away.
Best of all, Got some major compliments this morning at the gym, some from ladies too!
Hey man, yeah my cut is going well.
Almost 4kg down.
Training is starting to get a little tougher, but trying to push through and keep intensity up.

Still getting stronger every time I go in, Only thing I'm staying the same on is the damn smith machine. I dunno why But I hate that thing
Weight-wise, kg's are staying around the same, But I am noticing a difference in the mirror and cms. My wife asked me the other day when I get traps. Told her I got them at the Gun store (while flexing). She just went to bed and said my jokes suck

I was skipping a few things and not tracking all my food. Thankfully my coach didnt kak on me and helped me out. we went through everything and turns out i was missing quite a bit,
anyways, this morning I was 1 shart short of a 180.0.. tomorrow i break into the 170's!
Plus sides, Leg press, Im on 260kg's for 15-20 reps,
Squat form has improved drastically
hammer curls , db curls and fly's have all doubled in weight
Im able to do a full 15minutes on that god awful Elliptical machine before taking a 1-2min break. Heart rate constantly between 125-140
Blood pressure is into the mid to high 140's, down from 180 about a month ago,
Sugar levels have dropped from 6.5 to an average 5.3 (fasted, testing every 2-3 day)
Overall, I cant believe the changes, Im nearly 35kg's down from my heaviest, With it just getting easier.
We have cut carbs quite a bit, BUT there is still flexibility. Im still having to think hard on how to fill out the macro's, but everyday I get a new idea and not once have i had to eat dry chicken and brocolli. Im loving life!
Empire, Words cant express how much this has helped. You are a legend man

We are working on a 3 hour diet, your calorie requirement for the next 3 hours. If you aren't going to be massively active, then calorie requirements are not going to be massively needed. Blood sugar and BP being down for long term health is the main game and it's great to see we are on the progress train after a few hiccups.
The strength increase over the long term is going to be the massive make or break point. The more strength in the hypertrophy range means more muscle growth, and long term if we get you to gain 10 to 20kgs of muscle, means that your caloric requirements to maintain that muscle is going to be drastically higher too!
Keep up the hard work and let's get to that next milestone of 170!

Im still not into the 170's, BUT weight is staying stable and im feeling strong like a bull.
1 arm rows went up to 45's this morning, DB chest press back to 40's, Leg pressing 300's again without pooping myself
Cardio still sucks big ol donkey balls. But hey it makes me skinny. Wifes complimenting me alot more on shoulders and traps. Chest is coming in. Need to get rid of the gut and lower titties but they are shrinking.
Going to up the test this wednesday a bit, not much but its a small change.
Wife has started gymming with me now. We moved the routines around abit to work with my office schedule and enable her to get her butt there too. Nice to have someone motivate me and Im able to motivate her. Overall my life has changed so much since last year october. Joinging this forum and chatting to you all has really been a big positive.
Still chatting daily to my coach, even though his province is washing away. Keeps me going and keeps me going strong!
I think we are almost at the perfect balance of cravings/diet/lifestyle now. Overall im really really happy and positive.

So just an update for all the guys here that said obelix didn't need so many calories and carbs and blah blah blah..
We systematically pulled down calories week on week, which initiated a weight drop however, even though food volume was high, compliance and recovery was an issue. Some untracked items where had, so what we did is flipped the switch, increased calories back up and hey, compliance went up but so did strength and recovery.
This is a big thing. Obelix is a big guy, and the main focus whilst loosing weight and body fat is also gaining strength, we have had to look at this long term as when we push things too low, it's hard to stick to and that means the diet is failing.
I'm extremely proud of what he is doing and even what he has gotten his wife to do allowing them both to live a healthier life style. With the help of lesdoctor too, we have gotten his fasting blood glucose down drastically even when eating large amounts of carbs daily.
Blood pressure is in check too, and he is Making progress with weights daily, he has not complained about doing the work other than recovery issues which would manifest into injury so had to pull back a little with certain things exercise wise. I get in daily feedback and he is dedicated to the goal, strength wise he is still climbing up and soon when strength is better, things like squats will be easier.

Honestly it sucks looking at those pics, I have to face what the last 10+ years of "living the good life" have done to me.
I had pics open next to each other after posting this and yeah, I can see a difference. Its not a day and night difference, but there is some. Once the love handles and lower titties go, I think I will be looking alot better.

Also dnp is not for the faint hearted, and we wouldn't need that at this point when he is dealing with compliance with hunger issues. Dnp would be fucking detrimental to progese if constantly hungry and potentially over eating. Remember dnp creates a great calorie deficit, but you can still get fat on it.

The real recomp begins now
see "drugs" are also user dependent. some people can take dnp and controll hunger. got my buddy from HS to take 50mg a day. sorted his bloodsugar levels out and he lost 30kg.
but damn was he agro/annoyed
for now 30kg is SOLID. like damn that was fast. what a month ish ?
@Obelix well done champ. I dont say it to alot of people but you're doing wonders atm.

Now what dnp is doing in the background is improving insulin sensitivity and burning through that blood glucose and blood lipids and being released as heat causing the deficit. So in actual fact, similar action occurs when using any stimulant. So if you get bloods done on dnp, you will see high blood glucose, as well as high cholesterol based on the mechanisms above.
So 50mg of dnp is such a small dosing, that you would only get a 5% increase in metabolic rate. Now 500mg is a different story.
So he could have gotten away with 500-1000mg of Glucophage and a 5% decrease in calories.

this week i have been between 135 and 140 over 80's all week. Thats big
Like Empire said, sugars are average 5, dropped to a 4.8 this week aswell.
Overall I think its decent so far. Started properly in november, dropped big time then from jan I have been stuck in the 180's. Was up to 190 again at one point.
Like Empire also said, diets been a bit of an issue. Cravings are getting sorted. Todays a bad day but I have some fruit to hopefully sort that out. Also old habits of watching motogp and F1 with a bag of sweets. Today its some bilton sticks and coke zero. Lets see how that works out
As for stimulants. Nothing beats some pure backyard tik. Sprinkle of your coco pops and you are good for a week!
