How many of you monitor vitals? was created by Empire
So with the raising concerns with health and bodybuilders dropping dead, how many of you guys are monitoring your fasted blood glucose levels, resting heart rate, and blood pressure?

I have become a hell of a vigilant these days of testing blood pressure 2 to 3x a week and fasted blood glucose 3x a week and heart rate.

After my shows, I have managed to keep blood pressure at 122/80 and my resting heart rate was a lovely low 51bpm but now at 65bpm. Fsdted blood glucose is 4.2 on 350g of carbs a day.

I feel we need to be waaaaaay more vigilant these days with health concerns.

Issues that happen with elevated vitals long-term are mind-blowing and blood pressure and blood glucose are things we can monitor on our own and keep on top of the problem before issues arise.

Also, guys using GH and mk677 with high fasting blood glucose levels, long-term is going to cause insulin resistance, etc, and cause potential issues with type 2 diabetes, etc. Hence why do guys use insulin with GH to lower those bg numbers

I recently went over my last 4 years of discovery vitality health checks and I realised, although still in the good range my cholesterol and BP have both drifted up a little. Going to keep my eye on it.

Hi Empire,

I monitor my BP and HR regularly, do fasted cholesterol monthly.

I have picked up high BP whilst on a previous cycle. I lowered it with 1 week of prescribed hypertension meds. Followed that up with Cialis and aspirin regimen, increased cardio and regular blood donations. I have it stable now.

Also recently picked up high cholesterol whilst on cycle. Got that down by cutting eggs, using Cardarine for 3 weeks and using high dose vitamin C. I was at 5.1 total cholesterol (still too high) after 3 weeks of adjustments. Now I am cutting calories as well and should have normal readings in the next 2 weeks.

I never had any issues until I got Covid. My family has no history of hypertension and my dad also suddenly developed hypertension and cholesterol issues post Covid.

I am scared shitless of health issues so I have become somewhat of a hypochondriac. I am spending more money on supplements to maintain heart and kidney health, than on gear.

Empire is right. I'm not a competitive athlete, but I check my vitals once a week. Fasting glucose monthly, and a lipogram (it shows total, HDL, LDL and triglycerides) every 6 months. If you're on gear, a yearly PSA for the prostate is a must.

COVID has changed the landscape a bit. It can cause diabetes, for example. Thankfully it seems the raise in BP and cholesterol is a transient thing.

I do BP at home. Will get Accu-check glucose monitor as well. Right now I am doing BP, HR, Lipogram and glucose at Dischem. I used to go to my local pharmacy clinic but their equipment is too old and readings all over.
