William Llewellyn's says in his book 'Anabolics' that orals should be taken on an empty stomach. Steroids are fat soluble and some could be excreted along with undigested fat that it might have dissolved in. The book gives reference to some study. Personally I've done it both ways and never noticed a difference in results.
